So I was just reading the local newspapaer (only newspaper we have here anyways) and there was an article (2 in fact) about some recent busts on the island. Most people here grow outdoors.
The first one was a young guy who had about 50 plants, they don't give much details, but he told the cops he loves gardening lol.
The second one is a 1300 plants bust! The grow was spotted by an army helicopter that was flying in the mountains. Next to the article you can see a pic where a few military guys stand proud next to 2m vegging plants.
We rarely see big busts here, the biggest I remember was 2 years ago with more than 4000 plants. Surprisingly, justice is pretty cool here, I've never seen anyone get more than 5 years for growing 500+ plants, and if it's for personal use, you'll usually get away with a big fine and probation. However if they find lots of seeds at your place, they can think you're a commercial grower, even if you're just trying to preserve some good genes for personal use...
