No, I'm not kidding..it's $20/joint, and I will NOT buy weed out here. Most of it is outdoor sativa that's generally harvested too early or too late and isn't dried, cured, or manicured correctly. Too bad we have a huge ice(meth) problem out here..really drove the weed market out. Lots of misconceptions about the herb out here....even a friend who grew said to make hash oil he let it soak in the DENATURED while he was making it..no quickwash or anything.
Oh..and these joints? You're lucky if you get one that's a gram. average is 1/2 to 2/3 a gram. For 20 dollars! Add that shit up.

I know weed prices are high and all, but man i just realized how high it actually IS. 1-4 HUNDRED for an oz man? if i blaze about an ounce a month, say 10 months a year, thats $1000-4000 a year for some weeds! man... but on the brightside, i get high

Holy crap I can't believe people are paying so much for commercial stuff. But then again it does have alot to do with what cartel ships stuff to your area, what they charge, where the nearest cartel is, etc. Here in the SE US, around this time of year it's hard to find anything other than regular or 'mids'. The regular can actually be good quality bud, and will run 40-60/oz. 80/oz in a drought. A crap shoot though, can be really good, can be frustratingly bad. Mids are a little more but worth it IMO because I've never gotten a bad sack of mids. The mids I have now is medium-sized, dense lime green and rust colored nugs with decent trich coverage, no seeds. Little leafy but decent. Smells like oranges and flowers, wonderful. Gives an even head/body buzz but will put you to sleep in an instant if you lie down. Paid $40 for 8g. Normal going prices for mids are $7-10/g, 80-120/oz. Deer ate/trampled my plants this year so it's going to be another long while of buying mersh

u asked what its like here. we're in a bit of a drought too but its because we depend on mexico and canada, and norcal which are all mostly outdoor. this time of year they are simply out. u said it comes from birmingham? I'm sorry I live up to american stereotypes I have no clue where that is. is it indoor or outdoor?
talkin to a guy in greece he says its mostly from mafia growing in east europe for all types and grades of weed, also morroccan and iranian hash where he is.
in new orleans
startin out with lowest of the low. schwag. mostly from mexico. quality varies alot. 50-120 dollars an ounce. maybe ten or twelve fat joints. quality varies but it might get you lit, or it might be horrible headache immature weed. this is what most people smoke here. around harvest season schwag is pretty good, bricked, untrimmed, and seeded but a good bang for the buck. between 400-600 a lb but you can steady sell quarter sacks for 25 bucks so if someone approaches you for weed on the street thats usually what'll be.
then you got midgrade. I bought an 1/8 of these cali B buds for 25 bucks.
then you also got this kinda midgrade which is 200 dollars an ounce but very leafy and all. but when cleaned is very pretty oldschool gold mexican sensi. and never ferted. bright white ash.
and cleaned
next up is the mostly canadian export. Beasters. sometimes stony, often lower potency than a good bag of schwag but 3x more expensive. bricked low grade indica. usually very over ferted and rough on the throat. boring sleepy highs. if it has one. 270-300 dollars an ounce. sometimes you get one that will knock you on your ass but grams are like the size of a twist off bottle cap.
and headies start and vary too. cheaper headies may or may not have a name but usually sell around 310-360 like this banana hybrid
or sno cap.
and the most expensive headies can run up to 400 an ounce. for lavender or trainwreck or perfect indoor buds of good strain.

motaco first I'd like to say that I've learned alot from reading your posts concerning sativas around the world. I do have a question, though. I know that our part of the country's import comes from Mexico and South American, which is basically all sativa right? Yet the stuff I've been getting lately (regular stuff, 60/oz) has been dense nuggets that are obviously indica because of the smoke as well. Very stony, almost narcotic. Dark green (some of it has been rusty red), pretty well trimmed, somewhat sticky, decent trich coverage, etc. Awesome freakin deal (great for sleep) for being 'schwag' but I was wondering if you had any idea where this stuff might be coming from? Honestly, the stone is similar to Afghani on a less intense scale. They smell of earth and hash and taste just the same with a pepper bite.
well it could be a few things.
it could well be from south of the border just a grower that switched to indica beans.
but a better chance is that its right here USA grown. growers don't let money go to waste if they don't have to so the lower branches of big bushes don't get much light and really can't sell as kind or even mid in some cases. so they sell it to someone who can use schwag.
if you see my last post I have up a pic under the schwag called "cali B buds"
that was some of the AAA humboldt import I'd been smoking all year. when summer came all the nugs were gone and their last shipment of the season was those B buds. its probably a case like that just from some random grower getting rid of scraps.

thanks mt, that makes sense. Stuff I got just now is neon green and golden with orange hairs. Smells like haze. Bricked but still fuzzy buds. Almost all sativa from the soaring high I'm experiencing People underestimate commercial, it just depends where it comes from.

standard 6€/gr here in spain...lots of variety/quality after harvest season, but a few months later it gets harder to score some buds
from 4-7€/gr normaly outdoors, but sometimes theres some indoor bud available
most ppl still smokin maroccan hash from 3-6€/gr...almost everything is bulshit..
