Tray number 2 got a little weaving tonight. The lights are now pinned up as high as they will go so this stretching bitch is going to need some more training before stretch is over💯

2/4 strains running next time were transplanted into solos. The other 2 will happen tomorrow.

week 3 might be the most labor intensive when running perpetual but I will probably say the same thing come week 6-7 when all the solos get transplanted into 1 gallon pots and go in a separate veg room with separate semi manual environmental control instead of a 2x4 tent inside the bloom room piggy backing on the automated climate control. Ha

Peace

As always terrible photos but the metal roof in my grow room is sweating???

Anyone know much about insulation, metal buildings, and indoor and outdoor temp differences. I will talk to a couple contractor amigos tomorrow but I’m hoping someone might have already solved this issue on here???

Current outside temps 20-50f daily. 50 year old Metal building with R8 insulation and sealed as best I could. Indoor room temps range from 70-85f. Year around. IMO the diff in the outside and inside temp is creating dew between the metal roof and insulation?

Any thoughts on how to fix this? I don’t want to put more insulation if the roof will continue to sweat and create moisture.

This does not happen from rain or snow or during spring, summer, or fall? I think it’s the temp diff perhaps creating a dew point effect???

You know bro , it`s hard to believe that this shit`s been goin on ALL along while you`ve been bustin out perfect environment to grow dope and it`s never been an issue as far as room production , BUT.....

It`s somethin to be dealt with cuz that moisture`s gettin inside the insulation bags and just sits there till it hopefully dries back out during warmer times but that`s definitely an X factor to be dealt with as far as mold and airborn nasties potential......now.....I know you took out the dropped ceilings last yr in the remodel and I suppose that metal roof`s been condensating all along ever since you started heatin things up during wintertime with your indoor escapades , and hey......

Best consult your contractor amigos on some kind of answer or preventive measure for everything movin forward cuz those rafter struts/barjoist rafters will never stop sweatin when it`s 20 outside and 80 inside , that`s just science and mother nature fuckin with you and my old ass has no explanation how to stop condensation short of sprayfoaming the whole underside of the roof , bar joist rafters and all.....everything that`s steel/metal with ALL the insulation bags removed and I`m SO sure that`ll be a major PITA......so.....things that make you go hmmmm.....hope we can figure this shit out bro.....Good luck and......

Holler......DHF.......

Way behind but catching up.

1 1/2 trays have been tortured 1 1/2 to go.
Day 24 currently feeding 1.6EC 5.7PH

5 times per light cycle. Only feed # 1 and 5 get 10-20% runoff. 2-4 are only fed until the pots have slight runoff. Runoff in COCO DTW is to flush excess salts and reset the pH for the dark cycle or after the dark cycle. The insanely important dry back. This is what I do anyways.

Did you sort out the condensation?

I suppose a room within a room with the outisde rim having a dehumidifier running constantly may help. A pain to set up to have 1 or 2ft around the top and sides of the room within the room but you either vent the humid air elsewhere or it condenses on a cold surface, windows, metal etc.

Amazing amount of snow you have, is that normal?

I am having to run my dry/cure tent dehumidifier also. There is really no other way to fix it until chop unfortunately. Then I’m pretty sure I’m tearing the current 50+ year old R8 at best insulation out and spraying closed cell spray foam 4 inches thick on the ceiling. Unfortunately this is going to require redoing a ton of TrolMaster sensor wires and the power and control wires to the LEDs. I spent a week doing all of this my OCD way during my last remodel! now I get take all down and do it again after the spray foam insulation is done. So far it looks like it’s going to be about $1200 to spray foam the ceiling. Damnit!

I’m in the mountains in Cali at 4000’.

We typically get 6-8 good snow storms a year. The forecast says we should have 9” by morning?

Peace

Well bro.....I always said you were damn good at growin stem.......lol......It`s day 24 so be gentle with the strip while they`re still spittin pistils.....don`t wanna slow anything down in the transition to swellage mode , but hey....... they`re all healthy and happy......now.....

Spray foam......also.....what`s in the wall cavities ?.....The reason I ask is whatever`s behind the insulation is possibly sweatin/condensatin just like the roof , so molds and mildews can form with ice cold metal meetin inside controlled environment .....Maybe I`m wrong but the only wayta know is for you to do a diagnostic slice in 1 of the cavities and look behind and see what`s goin on.....Hopefully we`re cool with no worries pray to Jesus......anyways.....

I`m anxious to see how "Hashburger" does to possibly stay in the stable , but you`ve got so many options to play with it ain`t funny , so keep strokin and Holler.....Hope Blaze is ok....send her Uncle Fred`s love......oh , and Annabelle`s too.....

Us Taller plumper guys prefer a lotto stem! It gets the colas up to eye level! It keeps us from bending over and potentially having plumbers crack and throwing out our back!

Poet and I didn’t know it!

EC 1.7. Ph5.8 runoff is within parameters.

Should I cut the top branches off and re-root them lower in fresh coco? I can’t remember?

I told you I could easily still get 24+ inches of stem whenever I am lazy and flip late!

All the lowers and 90% of the suckers are history. I have to start tearing more solar panels off soon!

Today is day 25 or 26? Soon CALNIT and 1/2 of MagSul will be be taken away slowly but surly and replaced with no N CalMag at the same ratio.

I am looking forward to my call from Annabelle once she receives her carrot!

Peace

Bad booby trap no no in room for solos. Hopefully my dumbass remembers tomorrow I had to water a few but hopefully Ican get 'em all on the same schedule soon!!

My solo cup feed is the same as the grow room just the EC is just cut in half by mixing 50/50 grow nutrients with RO water. With an extra splash of CalMag and Fulvic.

They need real lights soon as well.

Peace

Yeah......chop it all down and start over.....There`s some weird shit goin on up top huh .....LMFAO.....Day 26 and look at the heads on them bitches.....Stackage and swellage is in full swing it looks like bro......Not sure what`s what in the pics but the 1`s on the right side look further ahead than those on the left.....

All things in time.....now....get to strippin petioles and fans over the next few days then rinse and repeat till your N`s knocked down where they stop spittin any foliage at all , then get ready for a bumper crop it looks like......just remember.....airflow , airflow , airflow......around , up , and down.....aight.....

Nuff said my buddy.....shit`s lookin prime as it should so.....

my amazing stem growing skills and lazy holiday effort allowed the first tray (left side) to get a little taller than they should have! Just like when I put Biscotti’s stretching ass in tray one last time.

The mini split tortured them and just like last run half of the first light on left side got stunted and will never be all they could have been! You would think I would have figured this shit out by now! DAMNIT!

When the room gets torn apart after this run for spray foam I intended to make a removable air diversion to use when needed for the mini split so that the same mistake doesn’t happen a 3rd time! Live and learn! Runs under your belt a wise man once said??

Aight , we gotta figure out what type material to use and then how to configure it where it diverts the air to right below the tables so the wall fans in each corner can mix it with the ambient room air and spin it round the room for saturation and end result perfect environment .......

Made outta somethin that won`t store the constant cold air but rather let it bounce off and down at the same time......dunno.....My old ass will thunk on it.....all input is greatly appreciated for a mini split diversion contraption.....

Could you guys use foil faced rigid insulation to build your removable diverter?

It will most likely be built out of cardboard and tried out in the beginning to see if it works correctly. If so I will definitely do something correctly and more permanent.

If I didn’t grow so much stem or had plants that leaned more towards the Indica side they would be fine. However I lost both strains that I had that stayed short/squat and did well in the same spot during my last remodel a year and a half ago. DAMNIT!

Live and learn runs under your belt!

If anyone has a cut of a plant that doesn’t stretch like a tree and wants to trade for one of my current killers that stretch like freaks I’m up for a trade?
