Yes..tea tree oil is in constant use for something around the household. Why not bugs and PM huh?
A friend called last night and we got to talking about pesticides and fungicides and this one came up in the discussion.

Is this oil as thick as the neem or even karanja oils? Are there different concentrations, i.e. is it partially manufactured?

When Oregon finally banned Superthrive many of the secret ingredients were identified and it confirmed what many already believed (already knew) that it was basically Naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) which is what got this product banned in the first place, chelated Iron and Vitamin B-1. You can't hide the smell on this one.

Even at that the NAA level is only 0.04% and the Vitamin B-1 is around 0.08% - 1 drop per gallon, right? Or something like that.

Sounds pretty super to me......

What's that?... bull shit! LOL

Very thin and slightly greasy, but as liquid as water...almost like white gas.

Some brands are very strong, and I'm certain that they are probably blended with a base. It will burn sensitive areas like the face. People kill lice w/it,use it as a disinfectant, antifungal, etc.

'Desert Essence' is the brand I have here...it say's 100% Australian tea tree oil.

Anyone use this stuff?

$9 for 50lbs seems like a good source of Rock dust ya know?

Grabbed it, gonna use it.... Am I missing anything important here?
Because of geological history of the areas west of the Cascades which resulted in uber levels of Magnesium, compacted soils (clay platelets carrying a positive charge (+) along the edges), etc. and particularly the closer your land is to a river or major stream, Gypsum is the usual recommend mineral compound to apply to your fields.

This company's 'liming agents' are found at every farm supply operation on this side of the mountains.

Do you have Superthrive over there? I know a couple of countries in Europe banned it as well and the ironic part is that it has nothing to do with the ingredients it contains - it is all about the label.

"Better than Gypsum" had me worried.... I'll be using it soon because I didn't have enough Glacial Rock dust and Oyster Flour to go the whole way on a mix I'm making.

:thank you:

Yeah my local hydro shop has loads of the stuff... never bought any mind you.. just from what ive read on vitamin B-1 really

last night i mixed up my dirt finally..

30g fine coco coir
30g SPM
15g humus mix (ewc, compost, forest duff)
15g aeration mix (rice hulls, last of my perlite and vermiculite, and some growstone)
then mixed in the mineral mix thats popular here (4p:glacial 1p:bentonite 1p:OSF 1p: basalt)
to this i added:
5lbs crab shell
5lbs kelp meal
5lbs fish meal
5lbs fishbone meal
5lbs neem seed meal
2.5lbs feather meal
2.5lbs humic adic (granular)

i kicked the cottonseed meal and alfalfa from the mix.

tossed it all into a 100g smart pot and then activated it with healthy tea brewed 48 hours before hand.

tomorrow 20 blue kronic clones go into some veg dirt and await this awesome stuff to flower in.
