Beautiful!
We’ve got the same setup it sounds like.
Low press temps is definitely where it’s at. I run 175-180° depending on how whatever I’m working with is behaving.
I really like the dabpress stuff I have the press a tumbler and several enail pids for years now with zero issues.
Press is 8 years old I think maybe older now.

I’ve found that the best tasting method has been to fresh freeze, and then dry ice shake it.
That’s the method I prefer to use with clean indoor plants that have had filtered air, no bugs and no mold issues.
Outdoor plants always get ice water run though, our dust storms here kick up some gnarly amounts of sand and down clay dust that gets all over inside the flowers. I tried some of them dry ice method as well as dry sifted and it was just dirt tasting.

How do you dry ice shake it?

Break up some dry ice, throw it in a 160-72 or whatever it is around there micron bag with some frozen buds, shake over a sheet of parchment paper, or on a clean glass table or smooth countertop. Or you can shake it into a bucket or bowl.

Play around with the shake timing. I start at one end and once I see color shifting I move down the table so I get pure heads in one pile and then it gradually deteriorates in quality as you go. Because I’m pressing it for rosin, I usually stick with a 160 micron screen.

Do you think the potency is the same from rosin, adverse to live rosin?
With sativas there is definitely a difference between fresh frozen or fresh dry processed and dried and properly cured flower that is then processed.
With the fresh stuff, you get the nice light golden blond colors and good smells, lighter effect. With the fully cured you get an amber rosin that’s usually firmer setting that is much more potent but loses a lot of the taste and smells and just starts kinda smelling like hash. There’s also much more character to the high once it’s cured.

With indicas and hybrids I prefer the fresh frozen or fresh dried and then processed. I don’t feel a potency difference with them compared to cured and the final product is way nicer with the fresh stuff.

Thanks so much for the info, I thought there might be a potency drop, but it was just speculation. But thank you again!
