Master Thai is very close to making his own Liquid Karma. I used to make my own but found it much easier to just buy LK. I'd add this to Master Thai's recipe...

Liquid Humus as directed on the bottle.
Thrive Alive (organic) instead of Superthrive.
Fulvic acids if you can find them.

Hello all,

I would like to note that Superthrive should be used sparingly....if too strong it will morph your cuttings and clones.

Go easy withthe Superthrive.

This is my experience anyway.

As far as liquid Karma, just a good tea with carbo's and protiens and amino acids added to a kelp/humis base.

My teas are excellent....no need for LK.

Yo bros, I not gettin' into this mess but... to keep the top from sticking.... clean it , dry it... and place a small piece of Saran wrap oveer the top before closing. You don't need to tighten it beyond spill-proof, as the Saran will fill the gaps.

I'm not sure about the soy meal...but the aloe and yucca are both powerful wetting agents and acts as natural surfactants. The high saponin content in the yucca makes plant cells more permeable to nutrient and water uptake. When used in compost tea brewing, aloe stimulates the beneficial bacteria on plants and in soil.

Zea May extract is a fancy way to say corn extract...it contains high levels of hormones.

If you've already got the ingredients lieing around the house, then it makes sense to use them. If you don't have the ingredients it would be easier and probably cheaper to buy LK off the shelf, but that takes away from the thriftyness of it all...:)

Great Post.
As with any organic recipe the proprtion and brewing process is always key, LK comes up often in this forum and we've been taking stabs at it for a few months now.
Now I have a few more ingredients in my aresenal, I have been using castile(sp?) soap to increase the solubility of my teas, kelp is hard to dissolve fully.

PS I use my teeth.

A. Nothing sticks as badly as those damn caps on Superthrive. I've about broken teeth trying to get that thing loose. (Mostly use Superthrive on my veg garden and flowers.)

B. It's not always about cost ... we all know that there's something fun and inherently satisfying about Doing It Yourself. If I could buy a pre-built greenhouse for $400 or buy the materials for $400 and put it together myself, I'd go with the latter option every time, assuming I had the time to invest.

C. Let Master Thai have his thread without putting him under a microscope. I've enjoyed it immensely and all we're doing is growing plants. :joint:

D. We should all pitch in and get Master Thai a new camera! Master Thai camera phone no cutting mustard. LOL

put the bottle on a hard surface and give the lid a firm sharp tap (dont go mad lol) with a wooden spoon/spatula or something hard... when jars of stuff wont open i always give the lid a hard slap, 9 times out of 10 it pops off easier.... hope that helps.

Superthrive question: How to not have goddamn cap glue self to bottle between every use?

Teeth very hurting from chewing off cap every time. LOL
