Well.... BUMP!! I am having this problem as well, and found this thread using the search feature. How did you resolve this problem? I can't put tape (or anything else) over the lighted area because that's where the cold air is coming in. I run my lights at night, so now I have this horrible light leak coming in thru my AC all day long. I close my HydroHut in the room where the AC is mounted, but there are still a couple leaks in the tent where light can get in. Please help.
Never did get it solved because I never went to flower. I'm switching from a DWC setup to an Ebb & Flow setup for various reasons. If I figure something out I'll post it here. I might just do a tent around the table instead of worrying about the AC.

FYI, I went with a curtain. I found a site that sells these PVC fittings for greenhouse builders - they attach to standard PVC and allow you to mount it to a wall, floor, or ceiling. I bought a few and built a PVC frame around my tables, threw some shower rings on it and hung black contractor grade plastic (I forget how thick - 4 mil?). It works great. The best part is I don't have to worry about all the friggin light leaks all over my room any more.
