Lighting height will uneven canopy

I tried the Google machine first but didn't find anything other than general lighting height directions and absolutely nothing when I mentioned LEDs. I have a few different strains growing and, despite training, some are just much taller than the bushy other plants. Is it better to keep the lights low to give extra light to the bushes or keep it above the tallest plant and hope the bushes stretch? I'm at day 7 of flower so topping isn't really an option for them.

I'd be shit outa luck trying to maintain an even canopy without a screen. You can pinch the branches that are shooting up, you can try gently twisting and bending the soft parts of the stem until they flop, you can try tying small weights on, you can try tying the very top down sideways...

If a perfectly uniform canopy is what you are aiming for, try a layer or two of trelling netting. It wouldn't really be too late to bend and snap everything under a screen now at week 1, but obviously it'd be easier if you started with a screen from the get go, or at least a week back at the start of flower.

When I'm growing multiple strains, I always put tall one on the outside, and smaller ones more directly under the lights, and if need be, raise them up by putting something underneath the pots.

Milk crates are 12" and stack. Five gallon buckets are 15". A wire stand for kitchens (kitchen gadgets section) is 6" high, also fits on a milk crate for 18".
I find it easier to move the plants up and down. I guess that part depends on the system.
