when ray-ray pulled up you hid your ashtrays.......

I'd set the dogs on him until he got the hint...seriously,why would you allow this kind of loser into your life more than once?

as much of a loser as he was (died when he ran off the road drunk) he had a kind heart, if he swung by for a buzz and you had a project the next day and needed an extra man he'd be there.

he was certified bonkers and on social security, if he came to work with us he'd be sober and only wanting to catch a buzz or three during the day. for all his faults (some being medical issues) he was an asset as a friend, I never knew him to say no, especially to weed.

we live in northern minnesota and everyone here (except the wealthy) had their hardships, we didn't alienate anyone unless they were known thieves or snitches.

I got a Zippo (Lighter Fluid type) Lighter for Christmas. It's kind of funny, but I got it from a girl that my wife doesn't want me to talk to. The girl had my name scribed into the lighter. When my wife asked me where I got the lighter I told her a man had given it to me for Christmas and I told the man if it ever comes up to say he gave it to me. I just hope he doesn't forget, as it will be kind of a big deal if he does.

Nobody tries to steal a Zippo. It is too personalized and stealing it would not be the same as stealing a 1 dollar bic.

The girl... We had an affair some time back and she is still in our circle. I will never sleep with her again, so I don't know why my wife is tripping. I am happy in my marriage, but resent some of the control issues women exert once you are married.

^ You feel to shameful for stealing a lighter but cheating on your wife is ok?? Nice priorities bra

This thread is officially jumping the shark... I can feel it. I have stolen a lighter or 2 but dont do it on purpose UNLESS someone else has walked off with mine first. Then the game begins

I have also cheated on a girlfriend or 2 that has tried to be controlling. It's both a fault and asset, i dont take well to being told how its gonna be.

I have only been married a couple of years. I said a girl gave me a lighter, I didn't have sex with her. I did have sex with her before I was married and my wife don't like her. It is like she thinks just because we had sex before we will again. I would feel incredible shame if I slept with the girl now that I am married. I would want to die if I did that. I feel my marriage is blessed by God and I want to keep it that way. Maybe I should just throw away the fuccking lighter

stoner4life you are really a good guy and I appreciate you being on this site. You keep things cool and mellow and that is a very admirable trait for a forum like this. Always lots of people want to poke each other for a reaction and it is so easy to over react. It isn't like you will get punched in the face for something you say on a message board, but in real life that could happen. People are not has hard on each other in real life compared to message boards.

Yeah, Huligan, i agree with that about mr S4L. As for the people venting out online, well... surely must be frustration, ignoring them might not be the right answer, but often is the best.
Anyway, lighters, got a fresh story. Last night i was at a neighbour's house playing cards, we bet ten euros, just for spicing it up. People drink and smoke a lot when playing cards, it's a continuous lighter dance.
This guy that also was playing kept using my lighter all the time. I didn't know him well, but he was pissing me off a bit, as if there wasn't other lighter than mine. I had to recover it multiple times, the guy was determined to nick it, it takes one to know another... But as it happened, it wasn't his night, he lost the ten euros and he couldn't steal the lighter at the end.
However, when i woke up this morning...

I'm a dedicated lighter thief.
In my time I must have stolen several hundred lighters, if not thousands. When I was young, I regularly came home from a party with five lighters or more.
Stealing lighters used to be a great source of joy in my life, it's the kick of stealing, but without any chance of real punichment. Just a shoulder shrug and a half assed oh, I'm sorry! If ever caught.
but now I'm all grown up, and seldom get a chance for thieving lighters.

We added rules that went along with the lighter thefts. A legal steal was pocketing it after getting it passed by owner and forgotten about (with boasting rights) but if was picked up from say the table etc then it had to be returned :)
Made each 'theft' a tactical mission

Most of us still have a stash of each others prides of joy and most uniquely decorated lighters that come out in conversation every few years

When I was young me and my cousin met up with these other kids and we all smoked a J.
So we are hanging with these dudes and I asked for a light for my cigarette.
well one of the offered me a light. So its night time and windy as fuck.So we lean against a building and he tries to light my butt to no avail. So he tries and tries until his buddy was sick of it and pulled it out of his hand.
His buddy was like ,what the hell and held out chap stick.
We all roared laughing.
A miss spent youth:biggrin:
