Lighter green leaves on some

Hey there, I dont really think they are sick but I need a little advice.

On Some of my three weeks into flower plants the leaves are ligher green in color than the others. promix with added perlight, flora nova at 500ppm with 8 drops per 5 gallons of superthrive. The plants on the outer edges seem to be darkest green and the ones more directly under the light are lighter.
Should I be feeding 900ppm, and raise my lights a little? that is my first impression. Temps are 83 lights are about 18" awaay. I see lots of pictures on this site and plants are dark green and waxy. That what I want.
Thanks for your advice.

awww come on Surf - - one picture is worth a thousand words - and might get an accurate diagnosis.

As is, could be overwatering or a deficency. Ususally - changes in plant appearance means something different or missing in the enviorment - as you suspect.

Seek first a plant that is healthy and happy - let it's true color shine thru for you - some plants are mint green - some are GREEN GREEN and the rest are somewhere in between when healthy - healthy plants are more fun reguardess of the color.

Go jones a camera and come on back with some pictures.

Depends on the size and strain of the plant,... that is what ppms should be based upon.

Avoid using superthrive with hydro, even though few drops I have seen it cause like.... pardon my french lol "jizz" like substance coat roots and other equipment :)

What are your water temps and what nutrients are you using and how much of each one if using more than one nutrient.

Hey ,well I dont know if promix is considerd hydro but water is fresh mixed with flora nova bloom at 500ppm in 3 gallon pots. everything looks good just not as deark green as they were, I am going to step up the ppm a tad and leave out the superthrive for a couple. We shall see.

pro mix is considered a soiless mixture and soiless mixtures need to be the ph that of hydro.

Do you have pictures? It's not to often to get a proper diagnosis without pictures....

I was thinking pH also - my pH down seems to be about twice the concentration it used to be - it hurt the garden bad - plus I was dealing with summer heat.

Heat is annother possibility - the farther away from 79F the harder it gets - mid 80's are not the fun I used to think they SHOULD be.

Superthrive in the few drops per gallon shouldn't be an issue - larger doses can alter the plant

dammmm soo many possibilities

First rule in my garden,,, when something takes a wrong turn, go back to what was working last

The plants on the outer edges seem to be darkest green and the ones more directly under the light are lighter.

The ones on the outside edges of your grow are darker green because plants in higher intensity light need stronger nutes, while the ones in lower intensity lighting don't have as high of a nute requirement, thus they are a darker green.

Hard to say how strong without pictures and not knowing how large your plants are, but they could probably use a slightly stronger mix, but mainly getting better (more even) light distribution across the entire group is important too. You might try just moving the plants around so the dark ones go to the middle and the lighter ones around the edges to compensate for the uneven light distribution.

ps..I'd cut the superthrive, it's just a b1 vitamin concoction and not useful for much of anything outside of reducing transplant shock

Thanks guys, Well I will up the nutes, Raise the lights a little, Check the ph runoff. ph could be a little high as that flora nova is buffered and I am at 6.3 going in not sure about what its at coming out. Whish I could get the temps down. I am getting a new intake fan mabey that will help a little.
Thanks for the advice.
