Light Proof Ducting

I went to my local hydro store and bought 25 feet of this 'idealair ducting' and on the box it says: "new ultra black interior does not reflect light".

Lo and behold, went outside of my room where my intake/exhaust is with lights on and both intake and exhaust were glowing with HPS light. turns out the black interior is glossy. why the heck would they do that.

So this aint gonna cut it. Dont really have room for light traps and I already have so many bends that itll restrict my 6" hurricane too much. can't really spray the interior of the duct with flat black cuz its accordion style and getting all those niches will be impossible.

Anyone know of a brand of ducting that is REALLY flat black lightproof? Will pay the extra for the real deal, just want things to come together :)

My fav is ThermoFlo SR. It's also super durable. It has little crisscrossing fiberglass strings for reinforcement. They have insulated stuff too, if that's your thing.

IF YOU HAVE A LENGH OF PANDA FILM CUT AND WRAP AND TAPE, GOOD TO GO UNTIL YOU GET THE GOOD GEAR.

You could get some flat black poster board at a drug store and roll it up and slid it into the duct if you have the space.

thanks for all the help guys, I ended up going with trusty rigid duct and flat spray paint. Its not perfect and doesn't seal at the junctions but time will tell how debilitating that is. Started a growroom thread in this forum, check it out if you have a chance! :tiphat::ying:
