Soon to test...mmmMMmm
Osram optimal 640,660,730
cree photophyll 2835 ( red ppfd only 20% so i can add more red diodes)
Total led count 2840 and 500w.
Did you test these out? How did it go? Did you make a growlog or similar out of it? I understand if privacy is an issue regarding pics, its my case aswell :)

The more i look at the 640/660 combo for red supp the more i like it. Saw some of your bud pics aswell and they look really nice.
Not sure if OP just meant this thread for his own lights only but i really think these qualify as light porn:)

Yes i did test them but was little hurry to make grow diary. I will try to make one in winter. I make couple of these lights for my friend also so I can take some pictures later for showcase.

Osram says they get good result with 50/50 640 and 660nm but i did hesitate putting so much 640nm. It's sacrificing efficiency to spectrum. It's would be nice to see side by side test only 660 and 660+640nm to see difference. Also it's feel logical make it spread.

Sorry for OP. I am little pirate aaarrg 🦜

Ive seen more references to 50/50 being superior. Something like 10-15% in "light utilization": how much bud you get per unit of dli. Im pretty sure that whatever 640 drops in efficiency its not going to be tha much. Check out the hte chloropyll action spectrum to get an idea why, best to hit both chloro a and b.

Haven't try properly what's max yield in term gram/watt but the quality is better than before when i run with cmh. We are getting easy 600 grams per m2 and looking for some increase.

I think there still room for some 640nm. Getting pretty good readings when measuring my lights.

It's still a learning curve with these beast. Just got my hands on light meter. It's a must have!

Did you ever test your light with full red sup under a spectrometer?

600g per m is great, what wattage?

I did look different options DIY or redy to use spectrometer but i get impression that DIY aren't so accurate and good measurement tools cost a lot. Still dreaming to get one. Any advice on this field is appreciated!

200w veggie
From 200 to 300w begin flower/stretch
From 300 to 400w flower
From 400 to 500w bulk stage
From 500 to 200w finishing two last weeks

600w is max power but way too much for one square meter and probably 500w but i like hang it higher for lazy reasons.
For best g/w optimal ranges would be 200 to 400w with co2. 400w will get evenly spread 1000-1400umol/m2/s depending how far from canopy.
I use apogee e-par sensor for measuring.

Sounds like some great stats. You should really post your grow :)

I got a friend with spectrometer who is also setting up to be tester of my upcoming design. Yes, those things are very expensive but luckily i have some help.
