Hi everyone, can anyone give me information about northern lights special from kcbrain? I saw in the photos on Instagram that has very slender leaves, more sativa ...
Every info is welcome.... :)

I think it was an NL x sativa (haze?) or the Northern lights #9, I can't remember.

there is without doubt thai or some other sativa in sensi's offering ................there is a tall lanky pheno that pops up regular ...............and i wouldn't say NL is heady, but it has an extra Dimension compared to other indicas of that time...........thats what it owed its popularity to imo

I've only had northern lights from the Seattle area, circa 1990.
To me it was skunk with a coffee taste.

Bumpy bump just to see if anyone here has grown the KC version out. I've been planning for a while to get a few packs and a few of Nirvana's one and then cross them to make my own nl line.

@willydread - thin leaves can appear in afghans and hash lines. I recently grew out wos ak for breeding and it had much thinner leaves than you'd think for a pure Afghan.

Can't go wrong with Psbc Northern lights or Joey's NL.

Jimmy- that male looks really resinous. Are the terpenes on the male similar to the females? Whats the nose like on that bad boy?

We grew NL #5 that smelled of coffee. It was an east coast line called the Mark V. Or Mark 5. It was a NL selection from seed in the late 80's.

There were several different phenos back then in our seed line. Flavors ranged from coffee to nutty to old school funk kind bud. Never once found berry flavors. The coffee line was the green phenos and all other flavors were purple plants.

These seeds came from Toronto in the mid 80's.

Short plant, 2-2-5 feet tall, very little stretch, robust branches, hollow stems, heavey feeder, Christmas tree like habit, rock solid nugs. Very little smell in flower unless disturbed. Final product was dark green nuggets that looked to be covered in yellow sugar like the wife uses on Christmas cookies.

Last time I saw anything close was Florida 2006 in Ft. Lauderdale. Coconut creek to be exact.

Someone out there has it I'm sure. Hopefully legalization will allow clones to reveal themselves and be spread far and wide.
That NL you described is not NL5, but 100%, without a doubt, Northern Lights #1.

Northern Lights #1 was the original Kryptonite from Florida.

isn't this the bubba kush profile (along with the hashy kush side)??? i can't remember, been awhile since i had pure bubba k
A lot of people say that bubba is reminiscent of coffee and is unique but to be honest a lot of well known clones have the same terpene profile.

Funny that they are all cuts out of California. Just realized that.

I wouldn’t be surprised if those three are directly related….either parent/offspring or siblings….. the SoCal being the “odd one out” ime, with the “incense” kushy-ness ontop of/in lieu of the “coffee”…..

I’d LOVE to get the SoCal back for some Bx’s…..and cause she’s the f’n bees knees lol.

I got her straight from Swerve in like 2009…..before he went all “swervy” haha….still got an old school “mix pack” from back then too….
