okay let me tell you what I did... I also wanted a light to have a true dual spectrum. So I checked on the internet a little bit and found the perfect light. It was on Ebay. The Hood is German made with Glass and attached four inch cooling fan, Inside There is One 600w Hps sunagro and One 400w metal Halide. Two seperate ballasts, all cords, V hooks, shipped for 430.00 bucks... I thought it was good deal with the Air cooled hood and both spectrum ends in a 1000W light. the Fan pulls the heat away from your plants. I think the added but smaller hint of blue from the M.H. produces a harder bud. webpage is Cool touch lighting.com at least thats what the sticker on the hood says... hope this helps,,, its always a good idea to buy a quality light with the thought of years of abuse ahead in mind... do it your self can mean do without down the road....happy trails and peace in the middle east :)

Say Hookahgabriel; either you enlarge the venting or buy a new light or of course let it remain with its present form. It is far cheaper to enlarge the 4" hole to 6" or 8"s than buy a new light!

I could retro fit the hoods but would be a major metal work. Im not very good at being that handy but could put some adapters on the hoods but would still forcing the air through a 4" inlets so that won't work very well. The SunSystem 4" hoods i used are very small and footprint was too small for what i was trying to do but is very good for 1-2 plants. Not sure what i will do with the old hoods probably give to my bro and have him get h/o 4" canfan or someother brand that is very powerful. Thanks for the idea though Badmf
