Ah ok so. Ive only used photo shop to add text to my pics and to rotate but never really touched them up. And you know what they probably look like it to. Oh well. Here is another shot taken with a cell phone no photo shop just held it under a light and focus and snap take the pic. Please let me know if Im missing something cause I think it looks excellent. I do ave a good camera and I refuse to take it and ruin it with resin all the time. I even went out and bought a Method 7 filter for it and dont even use the damn thing.

lol just fuckin with ya, it looks good.... sometimes if I'm too close to the T5HO's when I take a pic it washes it out all white like that...

anyone have suggestions for taking pics of dry nugs lol. i cannot seem to take a decent picture like the ones i see.. im installing adobe lightroom so i can take pictures with the camera directly hooked up to the screen so i can see teh quality before i even take the picture..
but any suggestions as to what settings? got a 12mega pixel older samsung camera.. and not going to upgrade any time soon lol . unless i can get one from a family member who has a bunch of old ones..

Use the "macro" setting (looks like a flower), get a small tripod, and try taking your photos with a bright daylight spectrum light behind you (sunlight of course works well, but you can get an actual photographer's bulb for the ideal light to use indoors). You might also consider making a bud photo-specific light box. It'll take a lot of guessing and checking before you figure it out but you can take great pics even with an older point and shoot. I used to submit photos to mags using a 10 year old 7MP Sony Cybershot...lol

I get ok shots with a phone camera... the white balance setting of spot or center is a good tip. Keeps the thing your shooting usually in the center of your photo in proper white balance and ignores the rest. Usually its set in matrix where it avgs the whole shot and adjusts accordingly which bright backgrounds will throw it way off....
the most important thing when taking a picture is lots of light. the more light you can get on your subject without saturation the better a picture you can take. you could get a nice macro using a cell phone but you need a lot of light and you still need to hold still because of the autofocus.
if you have a point and shoot camera with macro (the flower like jd4083 said) and a tripod you can take good macros. still want as much light as possible, but with a tripod even in low light you can still get good shots with a tweak of the aperture size and shutter speed. the sativa in my last post was taken in low light using like 4 second shutter.

I can get some great pics from my cell. It has a 16mp cam. These are not from it. I used my PAS in total darkness. My pass has a green led light for low light focus assist.
