I cant tell what is frost and what is over exposure.. I would say no flash does not make the buds look more frosty you can see the plant better thats all. Lighting is the key to great pics.

Its actually just the opposite ITS.
The right amount of flash will show off the crystals more as where an underdeveloped flash will hide all the crystally goodness.
It's virtually impossible make a close up over trichomes without flash or led lighting...Many buds are really frosty like pictures.
You have only to believe it.

I agree hard to beat good natural light. I use flash as well because I have been told by some folks they like the flashed shots best. When possible, I choose best of both worlds. Peace GS

Hammerheads PPx Q , taken under sodium and colour corrected in software , prefer indirect sunlight and simply crop/resize.
Temps dropping fast in the dark , purple hues showing the delicate tracery of mite damage , following clones will be stunners running cold all the way.
Flash often looks fake or screws the colour balance , bounceing off the ceiling or useing an opaque diffuser gives it a more natural look , a handheld torch with background lighting often looks better and picks out the trichs well.

i ment.. like flash allows u to see more of the crystals in the picture that u normally wouldnt be able to see unless u were holding the nug in ur hand.. it wasnt ment to mean that people are making there pics look crystallier with flash. lol
