Would the alarm system be set up to ONLY alert the grower? Because it would be counter productive to have a security system that alerts a call center that then contacts Police,fire ect...... You may stop a would be robber, but then here comes the police.....and then what?

New Holland: I believe he said it was an INDUSTRIAL location. You don't need much of an excuse there. Just the smarts to get out after a couple grows and save your luck. As long as there's adequate odor control and materials are moved discreetly (large standard boxes) then there most likely won't be too many questions. Building inspectors/ OSHA inspectores could pose problems though.

OriginalMan: I believe that if you read the posts regarding the alarm that the one mentioned is set up to dial a number and NOT a security system that alerts a company, which in turn alerts authorities.

This suggested 'call the owner' security system is pretty much essential in this case. X10 might have something that fits the bill nicely. Something with motion detectors and intrusion alerts is definitely needed so you don't walk in on your own bust.


noob1: are you able to get this place in a name that's not yours? with something this big you neeeeed to be able to escape.

Hypothetically speaking, even with an out of state truck, one must still be careful acquiring the materials for the grow. There is a guy on icmag who was busted for growing because cops were staking out a hydro shop and saw him leaving with a CO2 set up. Even with that out of state truck, never go directly from the hydro shop to the location. Go waste some time and make sure you check to see if anyone is following you.

I also agree with what New Holland said. Instead of one large grow, break it up and do a few smaller grows. Much safer, and, if something does compromise security at one location, you can rest assured knowing that everything you have is not gone...you still have a few more locations.

Maybe some day I will have that budget. I would even be happy with a $4,000 budget. For control have you checked out growtronix. There has been some stuff recently that makes me a little wherry, but looks to be an amazing system and decent in price.

ok wow you guys are talking about starting this op online arent u worried about who is looking at this or maybe even being setup? i know this is a hypo but that is kind of reckless.
but hey if you get that done all the power to you, deal with one person and thats it. there are alot of guys who will take everything you have at the rite price.

i ran 24 kw hard wired onto 3 phase for years
I got top money for produce because it was the best 4,300 uk pounds a kilo.sold to 2 guys who did not know eachother 180 miles apart .

cropping every 2 weeks spreading the workload
you need all you cuttings rooted in 10 days for an even uniform crop.


i used hydroton as it could be dryed cleaned soaked ph"d and reused with a loss of 2%
with the security system you need to have a web cam system so you can check remotely.you could also link to a large incediary device in case of detection.(forensics)

For odour control i used a big fuckoff ozone generator using 10,000 v ht neon transformer a cooltube and 1ml stainless mesh .self biult enough to oxidise a small village

I can be done (DO NOT INVOLVE ANY WOMEN)
