You're thinking of supplying commercially? Well sure enough you'd get your money back in no time - but you'd have to buy everything through someone unrelated to the project, have a legitimate front business, get the permission to supply a major dealer (usually very nasty ppl), have a fund for legal costs, have a bribe fund and have an exit strategy. 40k setup - but then a large contingency fund.
If it's just about making money, there are safer better ways. If you're growing because you love to grow and smoke, then scale down the operation to a personal grow and use a chunk of that 40k to be super stealthy.
It's a different game if you do it commercially.

if you sell 20 LB its $1200-$2,000
people dont seem to realize this while there growing with a 250w in their closet and thinking about going big....im just trying to put together in my head what my system would look like....
some people would drop 40-50K on a car they wanted...
I would drop 40-50K to just be able to hit the ON switch on a setup like this.

Keep it under 10,000 watts. Split between 2 bloom rooms, hope you are close enough to a town or city to get natural gas service b/c you'll be wanting to use CO2. I'd put about $10,000 into environmental control and air purification. If you do it correctly you can get 5 kilograms with the right strain every month. Not sure where your from but depending on what it looks like and smells like an above avg commercial variety will fetch around $6,000 -$6,500 a kilo w/ 15% moisture left. Get rid of it all to one person as well.
With 40,000.00 that is all you need to do a real grow and you have gone way overkill on the things and prices too.
I will buy a house and try to put at leat 0 - 10,000.00 dollars down and the rest will be for the grow it will be a 4 BEDROOM HOUSE with 2flower 1VEG/clone room and one room to sleep in after a year or two sele the house make extra money from saleing the house and do it all over again buy legit business and get the fuck out of the game becaues the only thing promise in this game is jail time death.

Don't forget about security. A must have is an alarm for intrusion, flood, heat, etc. A decent alarm with a few contacts and sensors and you get a call. Who cares what the emergency is, at least you are forewarned. $500 gets a nice Sensaphone system. You can even buy a cheap cellphone and a $25 airtime card, good for a year. Then you don't need a landline connection. You can easilly modify most standard cellphones to call a preset number.

I know one big 40k grow would give anyone a hard on. But I think you'd be better doing 4 x 10k grows in 4 different locations, a 10k grow in one houses is alot easier to keep stealth. For starters you don't have to explain why your drawing 300amps from the street. If 300 amps going missing, it will be noticed, where as 100 amps wont.
