What's new

Lets have a death star thread! Come on in!

I’ve ran this cut before as a small tester plant with glue, dogwalker, and giesel… Loudest of the run! If those are mids then, then I guess mids are my thing.

I ran it with some MB15 this round and it is easily twice as obnoxious.

Is it the greatest plant ever? Probably not…

Where did you source your cut?

Thats how Shoreline's cut was. Literally one of the loudest plants ive ever grown when it was flowering. After dried and cured it was straight mids.
exactly what i've been hearing all over. People think they have something special when they see a plant grow because omg it smells and looks so great LOL. I just laugh. You only know you have something special after you smoke it

This what most people thought of deathstar reason it faded away around 2012
it probably faded away like most super dank/tasty strains out there because they started making S1 of the original, selling it as the original for a rediculous price at first knowing people who would grow it can only get half the plants potential while still looking identical. Meanwhile the ones who kept the original/ inner circle of hoggers kept the real one knowing the real deal is rare and still able to make a killing with it. A plant like the real deathstar is not something that fades away because once you know, you know. Been smoking a lot of new hyped up strains and they are all tastless shit. Back then everything we were smoking/growing had mad taste. Besides, people are not buying weed to taste it anymore, they are buying it for the looks. Its a perfect market for the industry now that its legalised but its a shit market for old timers who were smoking on some tasty dank buds back then.

I had purchased an oz of death star about 3 years ago from dispensary in u.p Michigan. Grown by company called red bud roots (pretty sure it was). Tasted nice and had good stone.

Some more pics of how the original should look these are on day 67. The original should have no significant smell until about day 45-50 give or take. And then bam nose crinkling sour skunk, rubber sometimes fresh sometimes burnt, covered with horseradish, wasabi and gas. If yours doesn’t smell like that or have this type of structure then chances are it’s not her. ✌🏽

Oh nice what did you pollenate her with? Some of the loudest herb I ever grew was a plant I found in a couple dstar bagseeds 15 yrs ago. Skunk like deathstar but minus the rubber and horseradish wasabi. Was all skunk and dirt.

I was thinking of getting a cut of this but I already found the NL5 clone for insomnia and the reviews said Lemon G was the best strain to come out of Ohio. I did, however, get my hands on the Han Solo Burger cut, so my Star Wars itch has been scratched. Love the name (Deathstar) and the look of the plant, though.

Lemon g and deathstar are very dif plants and terp profiles and effects aswell. Lemon g is over the top lemon cleaner and or lemon candy depending on who and how it was grown. Fluffy nugs and not nearly as potent as deathstar imo. Deathstar is rank skunk, rubber, with nose crinkling sour horseradish and wasabi. And imo super potent.

Yes very different. I had never heard of Lemon G. I wanted Deathstar. But I did find it curious that no one said Deathstar was the best thing to come out of Ohio but several people said Lemon G was. Isn't that odd don't you think, especially with Deathstar's potency! My conclusion was that Lemon G was a very unique medical strain (a "must-have" in a medical garden), and Deathstar was another potent indica, which I can find in other strains (NL5, Ortega, etc). The high THC and CBD content makes it a must in my garden. As you can imagine it treats several ailments. Like I said, Deathstar is what I wanted, but Lemon G is what I got. Such is life.
