What are the consequences of refusing a search?

I'm not a legal expert, but as I understand it if a drug dog alerts to your car, that is probable cause for a search and you are not required to give consent. If they have no dogs and no probable cause, then you can (and should) refuse a search. Refusing a search is not probable cause for a search, and you should, in theory, be free to go.

Please correct me if any of the above is inaccurate.

Yelling and intimidation tactics, followed by fake probable cause made up by leo.

Thats what you should expect, but I have successfully denied them permission to search and she turned around and got back in their car without a word. She seemed new and not the power tripping type. It was a very empowering experience. I was scared shitless doing it, but I won't be next time, "and you run and tell that, homeboy".

Dont even step on the breaks. They'll also make the road very slow like 30 mph when near borders, and the people that obey the speed limit are the ones that suspicious. I worked with a guy who had worked in many jobs in his life. He seemed t best somewhat of cool dude in regards to weed, I heard him talking about it. He used to be a customs inspector at the canadian border for the US, and he says keep it in your pocket. It was always easier for them to search your car than you. Also if you had been caught with a joint, eight, bowl, etc you probably would never see a trial. With pot, sometimes under 30 lbs never saw a trial either. It is the jurisdiction of the county of the american border, and their backed up with other stuff, I beleive. Swim tried to buy his book of stash spots that most leo's have. Swim said 200, 300, swim also recalls possibly even The officer told swim about a crazy on e about a car runnin on tailights though.

is this country wide or certain parts?

It's country wide as far as I understand. They seem to be setting up on all big highways east-west we only have about 6 of those coast to coast and in the west we only have 2 or three running north south from Mexico to Canada... And state border crossings seem to be a hot spot, so they can hit you with interstate charges... I would tend to think we have more out west to try and stop movement of product to the east coast... Peace and puffs be safe!

Entrapment at its finest!
Um, no... That's not even remotely related to entrapment.

The Supreme Court supports the drug enforcers right to use what ever means necessary to enforce drug proscription, including lying!

Support your constitutional right to tell them to go fuck them selves, because you do not support their lies or unconstitutional inspection!.

The choice is yours!
You are correct that they can lie, and everyone should stand up for their constitutional rights, but that doesn't have anything to do with entrapment:

In criminal law, entrapment is constituted by a law enforcement agent inducing a person to commit an offense that the person would otherwise have been unlikely to commit.
Just sayin'

I almost crapped my pants when I saw one, then started laughing out loud. Stopped driving with herb years ago, had already pushed my luck way too far. They put it, 2 miles ahead, right before a rest area, perfect set up.

shit like this just solidifies my anti law enforcement attitude....makes me so angry how these fucks are not out to protect and serve just oppress and violate our rights. saying FUCK COPS does not even come close to the true amount of anger and hatred i have towards some of these anti marijuana cops....

and when they ask, "why...are you trying to hide something from us?"

you say, "no...i just don't have the time to clean up the mess you guys will make. am i free to go now?"

be sure to ask, "am i free to go now?" at every opportunity. do not get out of your vehicle and stay calm and respectful.

hope that helps.
