Bro, you are on Parole...they would not spend the $$ it takes to put a copter in the air, much less to hover for an hour over your house, just to search for a heat signature-- They would just rush you--

My guess would be that you caught these guys attention, then proceeded to piss them off...so they run your address...get your name, and see you are on Parole...so they contact your PO...and have him give you some lame story just to you--
They do use TI to search for grows...but it is illegal as fuck, and very difficult to hide the fact if they do...Parolees are a low-budget bust, because they don't have to do any of that...they just show up and look-- I was on for over 15 years here in Cali, and I know from experience that THEY ARE NOT SHY!! lol

ON TOP OF THAT, how much cost difference would there really be between sending up the chopper with two officers, or paying a SWAT team to kick a door down. Ever heard of extra pay for hazardous conditions. You don't think it costs mad money to deploy a fucking "door knocking down crew".

UM yeah if you lived in the USA, LEO cannot fly around looking into random houses with FLIR. In order for cops to LEGALLY look into your home with FLIR a judge must sign a WARRANT based on probable cause. And on that note, probable cause is NOT based on someone narking you out..People can talk all the shi t they want. "Oh so-and-so grows pot", or "so-and-so sells pot". NOT enough for a judges signature on a warrant. LEO needs HARD evidense in order to secure a legit warrant. And yes I am aware that there are corrupt police and judges, but thats another story...

Probation/Parole = being supervised. Maybe it varies from state to state but in FLorida its more or less the same thing. Parole is when you are released from prison early, probation is usually an alternative sentence to prison.

Point is you are supervised and they dont need a swat team to knock down your door. The PO simply has to show up and has the right to search your house for ANY reason. Alot easier, much cheaper and far more detailed than a FLIR search from a helicopter.

Plus I really dont believe your PO doesnt know where you live unless you lied and pretend to live somewhere where you dont.

hello everyone. i'm new to everything in general, but i'd like to give my very honest opinion on the subject. 1st of all, remember, any one is able to read these threads. any one from you, me or a law enforcement officer. just by the way you guys talk, act and inform the WORLD about you previous busts, law enforcement encounters, etc you're giving out way too much info on how to find yourselves. if what 'artofmakingfire' says is true about the whole helicopter-the-came-in-my-house shit, well, what guarantees you one of those officers isn't reading this very thread right now??

please allow me to explain myself better. lets say i'm one of those officers (who knows, maybe REALLY i am!!), whether it be the ones flying the helicopter or the ones who showed up at your door. i'm just in here (the safety & security thread) reading what MJ growers are doing to avoid US (the police, etc) from catching them. now i'm reading posts from a guy whos nickname is 'artofmakingfire' telling everyone about all of that shit, blah blah blah. ok, now this guy sounds JUST like MY guy. now i have hunch and MORE than enough convincing info that it could in fact be MY guy, and i will now go back and investigate his ass again, knowing that the reason i never found shit when i came in his house was because his grow show is somewhere else!!! duh me!!! bro!! you had GOOD MJ in your house, which wouldve alarmed YOU couldve grown that shit, PERIOD (thats why they came in, in the 1st place, right??) maybe these officers either really didn't care or theyre just plain NOt too smart!! i wonder how they got their badges!!
