lemon "G"

hilljack - I can't really tell you what it smells like in words. It smells nasty funky with a hint of lemon pinesol on the back end. But I've never grown it, only seen it grown, it is definitely indica, chunky and sticky icky!

I have a lemon pheno lifesaver from bog that smells like a real lemon tree in veg and bloom - lemonG smells NOTHING like that.

I definitely will try getting a cut from one of my buds and post pics and smoke reports in the next few months.

the lemonG definately stretches

it grows like a hybrid as anyone who knows the genetics would expect

Um, nope. Not talking about lemonD, which to this point I hadn't heard of. Again, maybe skunky is too broad and/or incorrect. It smells fucking weird with a hint of lemon afterstank.

Cant wait!

Hello to all.. I have been in hiding for a while now and haven't had access to the net.. But I have the real story on the "G" aka Skunk-misty.

The skunk-misty came about from some guys from Ohio State University they were all growers that got hooked up in class and decided to start a breeding project. The guy who headed up the project was only known as the scientist. From what I have been told the two strains he was working on was Skunk#1 and Original misty.. The scientist would give his crew new seeds to pop all the time and the guys would grow them out and save the best ones. This went on for a couple years. One day the scientist showed up with a cut of the Skunk-misty and told everyone that this is what all the work went into.. From there it has been pasted from friend to friend in the OSU area. And as far as I can tell it has always been known as the Skunk-Misty.

Then about 4 years ago a chick was gifted the SM was told she could have it but couldn't call it SM.. I think the scientist would not like it and at that time the crew was still tight.. So she took it to Athens and named it the Lemon G .. Which is a no brainier because of its taste.. She was a large scale grower and the stuff flew all across Ohio. From there it has become Lemon G..

A ton of people have the "G" in Ohio and it is great plant to have.. It has a crazy lemon-pine scent with a super skunky undertone.. It is very complex. I also know there are many phenos of this plant around. I have seen a couple but haven't seen a indica pheno.. You have to remember it is from seed so there has to be more with the same markers.. I have to say I Think the SM is the best pheno.. It is very sativa and finishes in 60 days it also likes to be in the shade. Not jacked up under the light. In a 2 Gal pot you can get 40 grams a plant no problem. She also is a super fast grower she will out grow most other plants. She also propagates well, she will be the first to root when she is cut. All and all she is a GREAT plant..

Today the crew that came up with the SM is no longer a tight group. So expect to see more variations of this plant out there. The guy I got mine from was part of the group and gave it to me and some friends to keep safe. Thank god because after that he lost it himself and had to ask for it back.. So goes the story..

This is all fact and checked over the past few years..... Enjoy the Skunk-Misty

I was lucky enough to be gifted the Skunk/Misty aka LemonG and I finally have a terrible pic to post -

I'm still not sure where everybody gets the "lemon" from... this smells exactly like ripe tangerines. Tangelos maybe. Overpowers EVERYTHING else in the room. Also - I've never ever smoked anything else that tastes exactly like it smells.

Very nice high, great yielder, great taste, top shelf for sure!

P.S. I plan on breeding a G-Berry Purple male to this girl soon. Hopefully I can get some color in this girl!

I'ts the Skunk/Misty cut, I'm sure of that. I smoked her before and it's the same. My sense of smell just says tangerines; not lemons.

I don't care - this girls in the garden forever.

Edit - I've got a Lifesaver pheno that smells just like a lemon. Tastes sweet, not lemony, but the smell is definitely lemon.

The LemonG smells more citrusy and the taste is exactly the same - AWESOME!!!

there are 2 lemon g strains in ohio i have had... One looks like the the first pic in this thread that hash cat posted, which looks to me kind of like the airborne does. And looks more indica dominant.

The other lemon g is love potion. It is more sativa like and takes 70-90 days of flower from what ive heard, but prolly closer to 75. It looks like the one in the pic that nspecta posted. And i read someones description that was very very spot on, "candy lemon dank". The smell lingers like crazy when its sealed up, and the taste lingers on the tongue.

Hate to burst your bubble but that is not where lemon g came from, it has been passed around for quite awhile and is not available in seed and has not been for a very long time.

It is a Columbian strain brought over many many years ago.

But that story does sound cooler.
