Dr Grinspoon from Katsu. 50e/3g. Certainly had a good cure lol, going yellow. This is illegal weed so offtopic.

Was it stale? Reason I ask is from experience lots of haze varieties dry to that beige color naturally, so even after a couple of weeks dry they can look like the above provided they have been finished correctly and not overfed N.

Could also be very old of course, but from what I gather real dr grinspoon (quaze) is small batch and doesn’t last long when it’s in stock.

Peace

Interesting your approach!

As said before I prefer such bags sold compared to less cared about tubs they ususally used for selling grass. Sure, downside is these chopped up buds for those bags containg 1g. Aardachtig probably went for 1,5g jars because of bigger buds then available.

@mr.haze420

Nice you enjoyed some from them! Let us know what you come across in the future, cheers.

@WhatWhenWhyWhere

Cheers, don't mention it!

Welcome to this thread and thank you as well for your detailed input, thanks too for taking the time since I appreciate your informative perspective ! Needless to say, take your time, just report if you like, no pressure as this thread can never be up to date, but is more about personal experience either with pictures or not, no stress.

I read in your first report that you really praised the Wedding Cake by Canadelaar. I got that right, yes? You also mentioned it in your second post. Never tried it, but as you probably read we are not convinced by this company yet – though there m i g h t and hopefully will be exceptions in the future[again, it is not complicated to grow at least nice enough quality as mentioned a thousand times before. Especially when tried professionally.

Also interesting to read that there is a bit of variation in regards to either too dry or moist buds, also within a batch or the bags containing 5g. As always a review is only a snapshot in time and especially if we review grass as we rarely go for a couple of grams of each strain as variation is our focus definitely, let alone hashish.

Looks like you pick up to smoke at home ; especially when reading you took a break from going to frequented said area since two decades before. I take is there is no inteterest of yours in growing your own gear or you just are too busy to do so respectively having no opportunity(anymore)if I may ask? What ever, again, interesting to read your impressions. Looking forward to your next installments:tiphat:.

@GrayZone

Coffeeshops in said provinces, see the links provided in the initial posts, sell regulated and unregulated gear. Maximum 5g per day per person alltogether – the same rule applied as with the rest of the country.

@OpenPollenSeeds

[Note about the offtopic Dr.Greenspoon discussion: I remember that hype and tried it back then. Soaring and potent indeed, but more one dimensional as far as I can tell. Each to their own. Funnily was sold at around 17-18€ per g back then, which was immense back then and still is today such a price.]

I pretty much agree with your experiencies! Nice you haven't mentioned that company discussed in this thread not being able to grow proper outdoor! What a waste of a licence yet, but leven en laten leven natuurlijk as well!

Maybe you can post your favourite strains in this thread at one point? Even though it seems you are not a fan of the experiment ; ).

Let's go, December, 2024!

Part 1

1 Selection Of Regulated Grass From Coffeeshops, December, 2024 .JPG

All right, firstly I have to point out that major mission of this trip was to source proper hashish from Aardachtig this very trip, but after about 30 coffeeshops were visited, no one came up with such since it – obviously – was sold out. One guy from staff said the company currently has to up their production as it flew from the shelves.

By the way we tried to track down this stuff last trip as well with no success, but forgot to mention it. There were some new offerings from that range from Canadelaar, but they embarassingly looked mostly uninteresting to us, even though better than their sifts before.

Bummer! Though we found proper quality unregulated hashish in the provinces!

Gladly second mission, hashish is always priority, was successful:

Exodus Cheese from Hollandse Hoogtes[about 10/11€ per gram]

was finally picked up! When bag was handed and paid I noticed a very familiar name bottom left on the bag. Confused and just to be sure I went back to the counter and asked staff if it was what I think it was and this was confirmed semi-surprisingly for myself sorta: this chain I ranted and raved about the other day here is working with Hollandse Hoogtes so this company at least gets their genetics from two sources.

All white bags sold under the label of Hollandse Hoogtes are their genetics and that they supposedly hold stock as well in this company to some degree.

As said wasn't aware of this, though not suprised the slightest[knew that there are no foreign companies allowed to be part of the experiment though they are local, but on the other hand there is always a way in theory for foreign companies to join], but somehow haven't thought about it for a while. Could be worse when thinking of their idea of quality in general I guess and relatively unstoppable anyway since they're quite big these days.

Time will tell.

Buds were relatively compact and this time had a note of Cheese terps. Effects were more body heavy than celebral and medium strong. Smell transfered relatvely good in a slightly creamy way, but despite good grass just one of the watered down versions of the original Cheese. So never ever deserves the extra tag it pretends to be, forget about it ; definitely a let down due to such marketing, yuk.

Major bad point!

Again, good grass respectively high grade, but doesn't impress me geneticwise. Burn was on the edge here and there by the way since a tiny bit too moist.

Crumbled Lime from Hollandse Hoogtes[about 12/13€ per gram]

Was the reccomendation of the staff. Compact resinous buds had a lemony-earthy scent which was well transfered to its also creamy taste. Curing stage of this was good. Effects were stronger than the Cheese. All in all the winner of this trip, so good high grade as having it all in regards to taste and smell!

Headband Crescendo from Fyta[~12€ per gram]

Only was chosen because of the genetics supposedly involved. Minty and earthy , also a bit chemical this one smelt, too not at all intense. Compact and ok resinage. Bit too dry for my liking, but burned smooth enough without giving much taste. Effects were strong enough, mixture of body and mind. So all in all just commercial high grade to me.

Part 2

Gmoski from Aardachtig
[13/14€ per gram]

This had a sweet kush taste to it. Buds were not too compact and cured nicely ; nice enough resin coverage. Said smell could be tasted too and typically strong enough kush effects as well. All in all good high grade, but not too special for my liking.

Conclusion: apart from the sold out hashish we intended to find an interesting choice. Or course we will find said hashish one day[at least this year I reckon:laughing:]!
Looking forward to see what this new year offers regarding the Wiet experiment. Were told at least a few of the remaining companies join soon, about six to go if memory serves me right.
From the companies taking part until now, Aardachtig is definitely a fave yet and Hollandse Hoogtes seem to be promising as well. Fyta is nothing special mostly, but relatively solid.
Did I forgot one? Probably for good reason:biggrin:!
Let alone, Wiet experiment is only running since a year, so lots of time to improve for these companies - or totally cock up.
Time will tell!
