Hey guys I am fixing to run a mixture of think differents and AutoExtremes from DP. I have read on there forums of very good results of gram per watt with LED's compared to HPS. I always have used a 1000 w hortilux HPS with block buster hood and digital ballast in a 4x4 tent.
Would I get a higher yield switching to LED's? I am not up to date on LED's, seems like the last time I had read into them was back a couple to three years ago before they more so "advanced". I would like to almost have right at 1000 watt of true LED power.
I was thinking of ordering something like this:

Which has extra plug ins and maybe run 4 more 200 watt LED's along with it.
The guy over on DP was yielding a good amount over 1,000 grams with this set up.
“I used LED grow lights. I was running a COB (chip on board) 1200 watt (made in china) grow light, the actual power draw was 660 watts. I also used three ‘Apollo six’ LED's which used 200 watts each and a 300 watt LED with an actual power draw of 155 watts. Total ~1350W of LED. I used a bank of eight T5 florescent lights for seedling and vegging for the first two weeks. I used 20 litre airpots and 20 litre smart pots. I weighed the two Auto Xtremes and one Think Different, it came to 24 ounces (680g) dry weight for the three plants. I never weighed the other three plants. I would say at least 18 to 20 ounces (560g) off the other three easy if not more”
That is his exact words... Could someone help me out if this would be the COB Led that he is speaking of? If so the price tag isn't so bad. If I can invest $1,200 tops to get more out of what im running with my HPS i'd more than happily switch. If I can't, then I won't even bother.
