led 40w question

Hello everyone
I have ask also in eng
I currently own a 40x40x120 box
And a 40w led bulb to illuminate my plant, I was wondering if it was my first plant if this arrangement was enough or if it would be better to buy a 100w led or put two 40w lamps, I state that I have 4 bulbs currently 40w the lighting seems good , and the plant is at the end of the germination phase.
I would prefer to avoid buying a new LED, if it should serve I have a budget of 60 euros maximum until mid-February, if you can recommend a good online shop where you can buy in case you would be very kind.
In any case, I hope you only need one lamp or two lamps, and if so what are the advantageous advantages of all situations ???
Ps I have no problems with electricity and cost consumption by having a particular contract for electricity, but I prefer to use LEDs for temperature reasons.
Thk's all and good stoned

Just this guy, ya know?
When you say 40 watt, is that what it pulls at the wall, or is that what it is advertised as? Cause LED manufacturers seem to inflate the hell out of their wattage numbers. Like I have some "300watt" leds that pull closer to 127watts at the wall. I think the rule of thumb is 50 watts per square foot? You have aprox 1.7 square feet, so 100 watts would be a sweet spot. I would try and find a "kill a watt" or even if you have a multi-meter and are competent using it you can check the wattage yourself. Then get enough lights to break that 100 watt lower limit. :tiphat: Oh and if you want literally more information than you can probably get through comfortably, there is a super thread over this way about LED and Screw In Lightbulbs. https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=314806

Get at least 100-150w for that dimension to do any good. 40w....it's not going to cut it. Good luck!!

Presuming you will use that tent upright, a 40x40 floor is under 2 square foot. Many people are targeting 35w per foot, using the 1500lumen general service lamps of around 14w each. That's like changing a 600 for 400w of led. It's quite reasonable. 5 such lamps is a simple pattern.

The 40w led is a bit of an odd one. The one's I have seen are very old designs they should of stopped making. Being sold by that 40w power consumption figure, but not giving any indication of how bright they are. Realistically they might be 3000 lumens. Making them inadequate doorstop's.

If you want a QB, $110 will have a 125w of samsung/meanwell delivered

It's more than you need, but quite desirable.

That comparison thread in the micro-grows section is a must read. I think you will just put in 5 1500lumen general service lamps, at 70w total. Leaving you with beer money from $50
