Was wondering what would happend if you have the lights switched of for 10 days during flowering. Would flowering time be prolonged or would the differance be a lower grow rate during that period or perhaps both?

I was confused as to whether you were saying to turn them on, or off...since it said "of"-- Either one is a bad idea tho--
If you want to dabble with light, try maybe hitting them with 14 of light...the last few weeks-- But too extreme and you will get hermies...or at best, a diminished harvest--

Other than a Wild Idea on your part, why would one consider engaging in practices that venture down dead end streets?
Try this suggested practice out, maintain a close set of records and get back to ALL of us with the results. Do your own homework Grasshopper, don't hit us with open ended drive by Q's.

sorry you all misunderstood me 
... i mean if you had no choice but too shut them off during 10 days (during the flowerphase).. ex. you have too leave home. So would we see a prelonged flowering period compared with having the lights ON during those 10 days or would totall flowering time be the same but the only downside beeing haveing less to harvest?

10 days is too long, it will loose most of its fan leaves, i cannot say what would happen to the buds since im not stupid enough to put a budding plant in the dark for that long, but the plant WILL be dieing...
i suggest you put them near a window or in a greenhouse where they can recieve sunlight if your unable to leave grow lights on.

Unless that breaches security. Why not just get a timer and let nature take its course?

well 10 days with lights on would ahve dried everything up and killed them but thanks for all reply:s
Hey GroovyFeeling I know what you mean as I handwater myself. The plants will be very droopy and sad looking, might lose some leaves, and they will most likely ripen a little quicker but it would just be as if an outdoor plant had ten days of no sun. It will not dye this way as with leaving the lights on and letting them get dry most certainly would. Hope everything works out for ya.

screw turning those lights off for 10 days the questoin you should be asking is how can i keep my plants wet for 10 days while i am gone.
so what kinda medium, pots , lights, whats ur temps, there will be a way to keep them wet if u let us know all this i am sure that someone can tell you how to keep them wet for 10 days
dont leave them in the dark for 10 days
and why would outside plants not recieve light for 10 days? i mean that doesnt happen unless your in alaska

there is a thing called the water worm that i think will be perfect for you groovy heres the address http://www.sykart.com/keenie/worm/ you can put the nutes and everything,this and a timer should take ur headaches away and save your grow.you can use any size jug seems perfect for you. hope this helps,as soon as i saw this i thought about your dilema
