If yer goin straight ta 12-12 ya need ta be usin bloom instead of grow ta start with. They wont want ta bud witha high N nute. After lookin at these plants I'd say they've had a touch to much Flora nova. F.N. is strong esp. in the micro-nute department.I think yer bottom leaves have a slight micro-nute burn, and the claw effect is a sign of too much N,probably jus enough ta show on the more sensitive ones first. I'd finda soil that is -already- ph balanced, cut it with 25-30% perlite, tansplant, then stand back and watch those babies grow!lol Good luck and take care...BC

somethin ta think about

somethin ta think about

I think jus plain water next water/feed,but after that,I'd say yeah, that would be a great way ta start em off. This bein yer first grow I can't stress enough ta keep it simple and go slow. That bein said I'd like ta point out that whenever ya add amendments to a soil mix things like lime, bonemeal, bloodmeal, kelp, etc, etc ya need ta let it"stew" or "cook" for awhile before ya use it.This is ta let the ph stabilize itself throughout the mediem.A plant would prolly grow anyway but it wouldn't be near as happy as a plant in ph stable soil. When the ph isn't stable they have a hard time feedin and ya end up with deficiencies. So that's why it's best ta mix all yer stuff in yer soil wet it up and let sit for 2-3 weeks, after that the ph will be stable.IMO you'd have much better luck with yer first grow if ya were not chasin the ph with lime.Keep it simple start with somethin stable.Best of luck to ya.If ya need anything else jus hollar,we're here ta help.Take care...BC

Hello, I agree with what others are saying that, that plant is too old to be in that small of a container. Just put it into a 6 inch pot to start with until the roots are at the edge of that one then upgrade again. The lower branches of your plant wont branch out unless you put it in a larger container. Hope this is helpful,
