Whenever you see a towering plant with a tiny container, and nutrient deficiencies (mainly potassium at this stage), the solution is to get a bigger container.

The plants are flowering, during which they need more P/K/Mg.

The rule of thumb is 1 gallon (3.78 liters) per 1 foot of expected growth.

Soil isn't like hydro. You need a physical space for the roots to expand into, either bigger containers or topping up the soil 2 inches or more.
