Leaf damage on Blueberry

Hi all,

I'm having some problems with some DJ Shorts Blueberry. Specifically, some strange leaf damage. The damage is apparent on three Blueberry individuals, but not on some SOL Blue Satellite #2.2 that I'm growing alongside. The BS gets the same light, air, nutes, and everything, but they seem perfectly healthy.

Here's what it looks like:

When I first saw this damage, I backed off on the nutes, but then observed yellowing on lower leaves, which I diagnosed as a nitrogen def. So brought the nutes back up.

I have flushed these guys thoroughly a few times, but this leaf damage persists.

Anyone know what it is?

Here's some data:

How long has this problem been going on? ~ 3 weeks
What STRAIN are you growing? Blueberry (DJ)
What was the establishing technique? (seed or clone?) Seed
What is the age of your plants? ~ 5 Weeks

What PHASE (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in? Veg
What Technique are you using? (SOG, SCROG etc) ???
What size pots are you using? (Include how many subjects to pot) 2 litre
What substrate/medium are you using? Coco Coir
What Nutrient's are you using? Canna Coco A+B
What is the TDS/EC/PPM of your nutrients used? EC = ~ 1.4 @ PH 5.8
What is the pH of the "RUN-OFF"? 6.6
What method of pH test was administered? Using Strips? pH pen? Hanna PH/TDS/EC Combo meter
How often are you watering? Daily
When was your last feeding and how often are you feeding? Daily, it's coco
What size bulb are you using? 400 Watt Hortilux Blue
What is the distance to the canopy? 14 inches
What is your RH Factor? (Relative Humidity) ~ 30%
What is the canopy temperature? 25C
What is the Day/Night Temp? (Include fluctuation range) Day 25C, Night 20C
What is the current Air Flow? (cfm etc.) Not sure, but good flow

Dude seriously i wouldnt even worry about that.....thats not any type of nute problem or lock out if anything its just a "mutant" set of leafs or it was hit with a bit to much fertilizer....but yah thats definitly not something u need to worry about at all, unless ur whole plant starts doin that...but i see that all the time and it has always been isolated to one set of leafs or so...
Good luck on the rest of ur grow bro!

I have seen this before with the blueberry.
I think Don'tbanme is correct and it is just a genetic mutant that occasionaly shows up in the strain.
Typical blueberry mutantism...
Or it might be (this is my hypothesis)-- some form of mutant mosaic virus that got passed down through the plant generations.. It's not contagious to other plants(normal tobacco mosaic virus is), and humans can't get it. It won't kill the plant either just shrivel it up...some plants get it worse than others.
You can proceed as normal.

LOL @ moon, that is in DJ shorts genetic thats his signature, that's how you know your shit came from Dj Short and no one else. Its Dj Short work.

Yup, dontban me is very correct! The plant is showing a mutation which you can't do anything about it....The plant is overall very health and I would not worry about it :)

Grape Krush Mutant.....just so you see how far DJ's mutants go. These leaves felt like leather, thick and stiff. The main stem of the plant never grew upright, it stayed bent over, it grew more like a vine then a plant.

Too bad is was a male, that's it in the front.

The mutants are said to be tougher to clone.

Ya, I have seen a ton of mutant strains with DJ's.... seems there is an unstable gene in lots of his strains........

Blueberry is picky as hell to grow and touchy with the nutes..... kinda like taking care of a baby that has a lot of gas!

Had a more pronounced one recently which was a hermie unfortunately , thought it was a mosaic virus at first but not transferrable to other plants and the clones are the same.
