I've got this on only one plant but it's a microgrow and this is my best plant so far.

I just tested the water coming out and it was 6.2 or thereabouts. Can acidic soil cause my symptoms?

Is lime the solution?

How long has this problem been going on? 3 weeks
What STRAIN are you growing? Bagseed
What was the establishing technique? (seed or clone?)SEED
What is the age of your plants? 7 weeks
How Tall are the plants? 14 inches
What PHASE (seedling, vegetative or flower) are the plants in? They've been in flower for about two weeks
What Technique are you using? 12/12 from seed microgrow. Grow box is 15x15x20 tall
What size pots are you using? (Include how many subjects to pot) 1 liter coke bottleWhat substrate/medium are you using? What brand of soil mixture are you using?(percentage of perlite, vermiculite...etc?) Potting soil with 10% miracle grow potting soilWhat Nutrient's are you using? How much of each with how much water? How Often? *Knowing the brand is very helpful* I fert once a week. I've watered twice with miracle grow 5-5-5 and once with water and molasses. I water until it leaks out the bottom
What is the TDS/EC/PPM of your nutrients used? Don't know
What is the pH of the "RUN-OFF"? acidic 6.2 or thereabouts
What method of pH test was administered? Using Strips? Strips
How often are you watering?EVERY 3-4 DAYS
When was your last feeding and how often are you feeding? Week ago - I feed weekl. What size bulb are you using? 3x 42watt CFL's
What is the distance to the canopy?6 INCHES
What is your RH Factor? (Relative Humidity) 40-50% indoors
What is the canopy temperature?80-85
What is the Day/Night Temp? (Include fluctuation range) same
What is the current Air Flow? (cfm etc.)Small exhaust fan but it's a small space 15x15x20 tall, no fan is blowing on the plantsIs the fan blowing directly at plants? no fan is blowing on the plants
Is the grow substrate constantly wet or moist? NO
Is your water HARD or SOFT? SOFT
What water are you using? Reverse Osmosis (RO)? Tap? Bottled? Well water? Distilled? Mineral Water? Spring water adjusted to 7.0 ph.
Has plant been recently pruned, cloned or pinched?no
Have any pest chemicals been used? If so what and when? no
Are plant's infected with pest's? Flies and gnats were a problem but I hung up a sticky strip to catch them. Pretty much under control now.

the MG 5-5-5 has very high nitro levels, the curl is nitro tox, the plant will recover, just fine, but dont ever use the Mg 5-5-5 again... not on this plant anyway... you need like a 1-10-12 or a 0-12-12.... the spots are calcium def, id sugest getting a bottle of AN sensi-cal itll have enough mag, cal and side-mineral to last you for along time.

Thanks for the response. I'm going to try another fert with little to no N and a calcium/mag supplement.

Insufficient air exchange.
Insufficient pot size for the size of subjects.
Soil too heavy.
Too much nitrogen.

You NEED better air flow, and some fresh LIGHT soil in slightly larger pots, like the size that a yoghurt quart is packaged in, with LOTS of holes, even up the sides of the pot.

If you don't get real air flow in there, you're going to get SQUAT for buds. Carbon means mass. Carbon is taken up by the plants largely as CO2 from the air. You need more air!

Thanks stinky. I have installed a fourth light in the box and I'm going to put in an incoming air hole with a computer fan. The temps aren't that high but I kinda knew there needed to be more air movement inside.

You need both an intake and an exhaust.
Exhaust high and active.
Intake low and passive.
Your fan should be moving exhaust air out, not pushing intake air in.

I've been starving my poor plants for the past couple of weeks trying to track down what I had too much or too little of, it turns out I just had too many gnats.

I thought I had it under control but I obviousy l didn't and they were causing some of these probs with all my plants.

I put some little dishes of rice vinegar out and a sticky fly strip. Although I've still got a problem, I wiped out 50 of the little fuckers overnight! :joint:

I installed a little fan to draw air into the box, so that's helped the heat problem a bit.
