Yeah things are starting to catch a shape in there with all the channels and bots helping manage them.
You guys should check our discord channel, soon we will have a contest here on the forum with extra prizes for those that are on the discord as well. You will see the notification when we launch the new contest.

I notice a new Discord button on the top tool bar. Taking prominence over the new posts link, and find threads.
Seriously, I'm not fucking going. I don't give a flying fuck about it. It's nothing but further exposure. It's been creeping in for a while, and now seems to of reached the top. As has my boil. Who is putting another website center stage. What purpose does it serve, to send people from here, there.

Hello, we are doing some tests to integrate it into the menu, actually first test was to get the icon to display correctly. It will probably find it's way to another place when we are done with it.
Anyway, regarding sending people to another website, it shows you haven't even checked what it is. Not that you should check it or come there, but it's not nice to be so against it without knowing what it really is.
Just how much more people use it compared to the chat here on the forum, shows it's a success for those that want/need it. And we are not stealing the people from here, actually we got new people from there to join icmag to join our november contest, so it is a good tool to have in these everchanging times. That doesn't mean the forum will stop being what it is, you can continue to enjoy it even if discord is not for you.

Really? For what I'm seeing it is the opposite... the Subs are completely dead since introducing discord. No one is using the chat anymore. I think this was a horrible idea. Plus discord is completely unsafe as it is owned by Microsoft, so won't use it...

As to the discord keeping people away from posting on the forum, I don't think that happens, but will check with the guys that are active on the discord to see how it's gone since then.
As to microsoft/safety concerns.. the pc most of our users use is also running microsoft software. If it isn't that, it's apple or android for the most part of users... well, who do we avoid?
