Late Summer Back Yard - Purple Kush, White Widow, AK-47

Im lovin that purple kush man. The WW and AK look awesome too, nice and iced up. Can't wait to see the trimmed up buds!

damn guys. so tonight at around 1am i hear some sort of radio sounding noise coming from my backyard. i look outside and behind the back fence (there is a road there rarely used by the water company, but otherwise it's completely closed off) and i see headlights shining on the fence , where the plants are. i freaked, thinking i was about to get busted, and ran out to grab some plants. The car/truck (i didn't try and see what the vehicle was) that the headlights were coming from was about 10 feet to the left of my property, and the lights were shining right on my fence. I swooped up 2 plants and ran inside. when i got back in i realized i still had 8 out there, so i ran out again and grabbed two more. I don't know when the headlights disappeared back there, or what they were doing in the first place. I definitely heard what sounded like a cop on their radio (this is what alerted me in the first place) It's likely that the water company security crew were the culprits...why they would be snooping around behind my fence at 1am is unclear :-/
So basically the 4 ak-47's that i pulled were ready for harvest. they had about 50% cloudy, 45% clear, 5% amber. ill have pics up tomorrow
The two purple kush i grabbed was kind of disappointing. The plants are SUPER dank and the hairs are mostly orange, but the buds are only partially purple, and overall quite green. i really wanted pure purple buds. they also might be a bit underdeveloped potency wise, but not by much i bet. i think the plants could have been run another week before ideal harvest.
That being said, these buds all look super chronic, and i can't wait to get pics up. There's still 2 purple kush and 4 white widows out there growing (6 is the medical limit). I really hope i was just overreacting, and theres no risk to my garden. But my intuition tells me i might be getting a knock on my door sometime tomorrow. Wish me luck! (i have my medical papers ready)

also, when i grabbed the plants last night some dirt specs got onto some of the buds. Since the plants are so sticky, some of the dirt wont come off (its mainly on the small, lower buds). what do you think i should do about that? wait until they're dry and then try and take every single spec of dirty off by hand? Maybe i can water cure them? never done that before....

Hey inverse, close call there...My PK was mostly green when I pulled her, just a tinge of purple on the leafs. Maybe it colors late? Try Grassroots 'the purps' if you want a purple PURPLE purple. I constantly keep that one going in my garden, better producer and blissful scent. Oh and also check out grapefruit diesel, that is some seriousness!

thanks for the responses :smile:. i will be uploading pics as soon as my laptop's internet is back up..right now it's fucking up
mihakt - good to know. i think that the dirt is less seriosu than i thought, and almost all of it has come off as the plants have dried
bozga - the plants keep getting frostier every day! i can't wait to show off the pics of the dried, semi-purple nuggets i've got so far from 2 of the plants. They're available to CA medical patients at Cafe Blue Sky in oakland
sound healer - yeah, perhaps these plants dont purple as well in outdoors temp ranges? the purple kush i grew indoors turned solid purple at about day 59. I really have no way to judge what day it is for these outdoor plants, so i dont know how much longer to run it. Theres still some whtie hairs, and the trichs haven't showed too much amber yet, so im going to let it go for probably another week. The purple kush i've cut so far sounds about the same coloration as yours...nothing to complain about in terms of resin production though! yeah, the purps and that diesel sound delicious. is the grapefruit diesel available at any med clubs around?

grassroots in san fran carries grapefruit diesel, don't know if it is currently available but it's definitely a cut worth keeping in the garden
