late start in florida

Hey everybody my plans to start in early June were delayed to now. I was wondering if anybody has experience starting in central fl the 1 st week of July ..my seedlings will be about 3 weeks old. Goin in 20-30 gal pots. Is it a waste of time considering that flowering may start too soon to fill pots this large? WHAT YOUR EXPERIENCE/YIELD WITH THIS TIME FRAME? SOME OF MY STRAINS ARE 60/40 SATIVA DOMINANT WHICH I HEAR.MAKES IT BETTER. ANY AND ALL ANSWERS APPRECIATED. Oops just noticed that I had caps on lol..anyways I'm using promix hp with a little lime added and some of my strains are....
Island sweet skunk
Ogr White super skunk
Hso blue dream
Cc Buddha Tahoe og
sour diesel #2
:canabis:

.......thanks ahead...GG

i'd do it just as long as you can keep water on them, when your visit pinch every other week for the next month of july you will still have a longer grow season. good luck hope they get bushy!

Orlando FL longest day on June 21 is 13hrs57mns. So indica and indica hybrid strains will usually start to stretch and go to flower as soon as you put em out no matter what time of year. Your best bet to get plants big down there is 100% sativa--those are the ones you need the bigger pots for. I've had Ace Golden Tiger hold off all the way to 9/20 before they started to flower. With indica/indica hybrids the trick is to veg em up big as you can indoors and put em out around 9/1. Then they'll stretch and begin full flower by late September and flower out during October/November after the summer rains and high humidity have left your area. 5-10 gallon pots for your indica strains should be enough. Best of luck man and good karma your way.

Thanks Lazy..yea I have a nice hidden spot that gets great sunlight sand I'll be visiting them enough to keep the ladies watered. Do you have any experience in the sunshine state? I see that your location says Midwest. Florida has weather like none other. Anywhere else I would've definitely put them out but being that we have this subtropical climate its hard for me to learn the seasons for growing. This is my 1st outdoor run..thanks for the wishes. I wanna see some decent yields with these elite strains!!!! ....GG

Hey what's up Moe! This is my 1st outdoor grow, and from learning from all around the outdoor forums I've learned that you're absolutely right about indica and hybrid plants flowering at these times, BUT I've ALSO been told and read more than enough times that my plants can go a little longer because I'm starting from seed. Being that in a seed grow the plant doesn't know its sex yet so it vegs for a little longer then goes to stretch/flower. I think I will go10 gal pots for the indicas. Appreciate the help!! And thanks for the good wishes...Im gonna go for it...keep some inside also just in case they do flower as short plants..I want BUSHES!!!...lol...GG
