last time it was 15 yrs give or take. mad prospect of getting tested on job caused me to abstain, 'course they didn't mind the loads of narcotics when they did test me...

been four years since then and now...wow, time rolls on.

Gotta love DankFrank's answer. It's so TRUE!

I had to give up smoking for health reasons, but still get medicated by edibles and use loads of tincture (home made is best) and love the edible. You can infuse most anything you eat with oil...and it works miracles.

I take a break around once a year, for 2 to 4 weeks.
& I'm on a break right now.

I stop smoking daily....it last 4-7 hours on average.

then I wake up.

Same here. I have too many issues to deal with... no time for lowered productivity by not medicating. Gotta keep a clear head.

(p.s. Involuntary was around 40 days 7 years ago.)

I haven't really smoked pot in a very long time either, first by choice, then for health reasons.

Since I haven't taken a break of more than 1 or 2 days since 2010, been thinking I'm about due!

What's the best way you have found to get your mind of smoking and take a break cold turkey?

Thanks in advance for the suggestions,
BeL

I had a 75 day break from x-mas 2012 ->
Wasn't something that had to be done, just got bored with smoking. Had absolutely no trouble going without smokes either. Ski'id and played hockey a lot, and some battlefield3 :)

The last time I was clean from weed was like 3years ago, maybe 4... I think I stopped smoking for about year I think... The thing that sucks is in about 10 months from now I'm gonna have to stop again for my job... I know there's ways of gettn around random drug tests but I just don't want to lose my job and also I don't want to be worrying all the time about is it gonna be the day? I also can't see myself not growing this awesome plant anymore... It's my livelyhood...

in 2001 things went south with me and the wife and she got authorities involved

i knew it was coming and i was able to pull and keep from getting busted

that lasted about a year, puffed a few times in between (constant court testing)

I did alot of drugs as a kid, was in treatment a second time by 15 but after a year of treatment I was willing to try anything to "right" myself

I stayed clean and sober from a clinical point of view for 10 years (i was on anti depressants and other pysch meds) and when I could no longer bear life I ended up "experimenting" again smoked pot and it was like finding a long lost friend

Three years I was on paper. Other than that twice a year for 60+ days getting ready for VA Dr's blood & urine tests. The Veterans Admin. has NO sense of humor when it comes to pain mgt. & canna. What's a poor Vet to do?
