I just watched a British couple on Good Morning Britain recount their horrific experience of being at that Jason Aldean concert in Vegas when the shooting started......and they were not actors. So for sure, in my mind this atrocity did happen.

Everyone has their own opinions, as with anything.....and as with any event such as this conspiracy theorists will abound, and it is a VERY odd situation when a supposedly 'regular guy' who didn't seem to have any real problems in life goes ape-shit and commits to slaughtering so many people....We are all trying to figure out WHY?

Maybe something as obscure as him not liking country music could have propelled him to do this? Or maybe he fell out with his wife or something?....Perhaps we will never know.

20 000 people - dude on 32 floor with commanding view of the lot - fires for a sustained period of time . Hits close to 300 people . = 1.5 % people shot .

Equals either he was drunk / blind / or trying to scare / getting thrills from the panic he`s watching .

If he wanted to hit more people I`m pretty sure he could / would have .

That`s the weird part of this for me .

In total, there were 23 firearms in the hotel room, including an AK-47, an AR-15-type gun, and a handgun.

Who the F#ck need that many guns, when 1 would do the job, maybe 2-3 for back up but 23 is very odd?...No?
And why the hell would you break out 2 windows there would be plenty of people to shoot at from just 1. No?

Paddock's gunfire ceased at around 10:19pm - 59 minutes before his room was breached. Why did it take so long?

If it´s correct, I don´t know for sure but roundabout 50 People died on this day through guns in the USA, except the victims of the attack, 3 of them in Las Vegas.

I gave up my naive/european wish/hope that the americans take more controll of the guns. Was it Littleton, where a dozend little kids get killed. After that, was a good time for more control.

Duncan, who plays infield for the GOP team, said the man asked him who was playing. When the congressman responded it was Republican members of the congressional baseball team, the man left while the congressmen got in their car.

CBS Corp. fired a vice president in business affairs Monday for comments she made on social media regarding the mass shooting at a country music festival in Las Vegas.

Hayley Geftman-Gold, wrote on her Facebook page that she was not sympathetic to victims of the shooting because, she claimed, most country music fans are Republican.

Geftman-Gold also wrote: “If they wouldn’t do anything when children were murdered I have no hope that Repugs will ever do the right thing. I’m actually not even sympathetic bc country music fans often are Republican gun toters.”

During a live press conference, Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo revealed that the Las Vegas gunman, Stephen Paddock, may have been “radicalized” and that authorities were attempting to uncover the source of his radicalization.

“Did this person get radicalized unbeknownst to us? And we want to identify that source,” said Lombardo.

If confirmed, this suggests that there may have been a political motive behind the massacre.

Who knows yet the circumstances that led this guy to do what he did but something snapped or torqued him off and he obviously did a lot of planning for a massive attack. It was also said he was prescribed Valium a couple of months prior. I heard this morning he opened fire after the band finished playing “America the Beautiful” with the crowd singing along. He started shooting as soon as the next song started.

Sad, sad situation and thoughts go out to the victims’ families and to the survivors.

'In one of the largest casinos in Las Vegas (sin city) you can move enough arsenal for a platoon... enough to take over the entire building and kill everyone in it, then smash out two windows, fire off a few thousand rounds of ammunition at a target across the boulevard, .... and no one picked up on this???????? no one in casino security noticed a thing. is there any footage of him (perp) from hotel cctv? nope. did anyone (police, swat, casino security, etc.) manage to figure out in anything approaching a sensible response time where the shooter was (anyone familiar with the hotel would know what room it was at a glance)??? nope. it took an hour.. just a guess, but i bet if you had broken one window and started taking pot shots at the crowd below with a .22 single shot squirrel gun, the day before this happened, you would not get more than a couple of rounds off before you were rendered inert... in fact i doubt the people who run this building and business would suffer anyone even being able to smuggle the rifle into the room... not without permission. this stinks'.

Gypsy, you know they have gun shows in Vegas, and it is very common for people to carry their purchases back to their rooms (that's where I bought my S&W 500).

BTW, there is/was place range just outside Lost Wages where you can fire automatic weapons for a hefty fee. Think corporate outings, birthday parties, bucket list things....and being a "manly man" for a day. LOL.

It doesn’t surprise me that no flags went off as far as security at the hotel. There is a lot of security because of the casinos but Vegas is a destination resort town and a lot of people are traveling with many bags of all sorts, golf clubs, etc. He may have hauled them in himself or flip a bellman a couple of c-notes a couple of times with no questions (may change now). Once in the room, hang out the do not disturb sign to keep housekeeping out.

They said he used room service at times and could have dealt with the courier in the hall to sign the tab. It doesn’t surprise me he went unnoticed, there are a lot of characters in LV.

@ DocTime420…the biggest gun trade show in the country (SHOT) is held there every other year. It’s where the manufacturers show off their wares to the trade. Not open to the public but it’s a who you know kind of thing.
