Landlord selling house and doing an open house soon

I'm freaking out. My setup is in a closet which could be locked up. Quiet and just about no noise comes from it unless your ear was directly on the door.
However I'm halfway through flower. An open house with people just walking around and having this closet locked doesn't seem righ. It could be that my large valuables are locked away or something. But I'm on the verge to "delete" my closet and return everything to normal.

I'm not in Colorado.. ..

thats an awful situation but if your "liberty" could be at risk then you may have to cut and chuck,,,,
other then that.. the cupboard could contain valubles and personal items so thats understandble until you get a nosey viewer or someone who would like to measure the cupboard for storage then you could say for the reasons above you would rather not open the cupboard but your odour control is going to have to be spot on,,,
if it was me i would more then likely cut and chuck especially if LEO could end up getting involved depending on where you are in the US,,,,live to grow another day

I'm thinking stealth mode large moving box to cover the plant keep in bedroom in/out of plain site. Break down closet 3hr max open house and you do the open house or it can't be done until you move. Check your lease to see if it it written that you must hold an open house. You as an tenant have rights that you should know for instances like these so check them out. Good luck be creative and mostly be safe nothing is worth a downfall.

Thanks all. I have a small window to let them mature a little but it definitely won't be a full cycle. I can't afford to get another place for another month so I can't take the risk unless my new place was ready before the open house starts

Maybe hang a tapestry over the door so they don't see it and push a bed up in front of it. A Jedi-head-eye mind trick. Also hang a note on the door saying "valuables do not enter." And may the force be with you.

That's what I was thinking too. I've never done it but I've heard mention of it from people on here and would certainly give it a whirl if need be.

I've been there. I actually had some plants behind a mirror desk
that I put on an angle in my bedroom. Most people won't mind
not looking into every closet if you tell not to because it's messy
at this time.

In your situation I would do the following:

Just put a laundry basket in front of the closet door and pretend your
folding clothes. When they come in the place, they'll 99.99999% enter the
room your in, see you doing laundry and leave.

I know for a fact I don't want to near anyone doing laundry.
They may ask me to help. Phuck that noise.

Xtra large moving/storage boxes, shipping tape, ona gel. Tape boxes up real good with ona inside. Get a plug-in air freshener. Put a fan in the window, boxes against the wall, stack a bunch of stuff on/around the boxes. Done it before successfully. Not even a whiff.

I remember one thread in particular where a guy was growing in two tents in an apartment. He rented out a moving van I think it was and stuffed them in there for the evaluation. He broke down and hid his equipment in the closet and left the grow tents out and made them up like he used them for additional closet space.

Deep down you know what you have to do. Life's a bitch and a renting situation with growing is no guarantee. Ain't worth the risk.
I grow in a legal state indoors and outdoors and I have made my peace if I ever get jacked or lose my plants due to unforseen circumstances...so be it. Revenge, jail time or a lack of peace in my life isn't worth it. I can always pop more beans later. I would feel even more strongly if jail time was possibly involved. Be a man and toss those beautiful birches in the trash. (Unless you want to get a storage shed, that would work)

If it were a large grow I'd agree. A closet's worth of plants? Easy to hide. Imo putting them anywhere outside is more of a risk. As long as you can control smell no one will be the wiser. Not like people gonna be opening up ur boxes. Grab ur laptop or a book and hang out in the room till everyone's gone. Easy shmeasy.

Wrong usually when there is a open house or someone showing your house your not there they specifically tell you to beat it and come back in 2 hrs remember your only a tenant and the sales person or owner gave you ample warning time to vacate the premises on said date and time ,
If your growing weed in that rental property i would suggest you get it the hell out of there ASAP obviously the owner is un aware possibly of you growing it in his property remember he is owner your only a tenant ,,
If he knew what would you still be a tenant ???

And what if by chance the person looking at the house might be a cop you never know who comes looking at property now cop smells pot even though its quiet in that closet

PS i finallly started talking to my neighbor he has been there now 2 years always see him in these navy pants that have pockets on sides and zippers ??? only to find out he is a COP SWAT division
you would never guess it so yeah been growing weed illegally in my back yard with a cop next door interesting huh

Although your constantly around you closet and think you do not smell it i Guarantee someone that is not around it will smell it
no different then non smokers can smell a smoker from a mile away
