I agree here. The only people who ride the moralist/ prohibitionist mindset are those who are not competent enough to surge forth development related activities such as improving the quality of schools, homes etc.

Also, lots of ppl in the political arena find themselfs needing corporate endorsement/ backing for their campaigns because of the enormous amount of $$$ required to enter the political scene. The endorsement of the corpos ensures the politicians and laws / acts they draft centres around corporate interest (vs. natl. interests). This is mostly at the state/ national levels, though. These people are also incompetent in my books because they couldn't enter the political scene on grassroots populism.

This is fucked...ah shit, I didn't realise this was my 420th post tho! But yea either ways St. James is an incompetent goat blowing dog shit eater, no doubts on that.

I believe that the e-mail address in this post is to St. James' boss, the DA for the County in question. Anyone wishing to send a well thought out reply to their office is encouraged to do so.

Maybe if heartless totalitarians get the clear impression that they're not very well-respected in much of the world, outside of their intramural beer-drinking league, they'll think about their own karma, instead of persecuting two young fellers getting some food from the trash.

It appears that public outcry, from across the country, if not internationally, has resulted in the release of the two folks busted for 'dumpster diving,' though the ADA, St. James, apparently insists that it wasn't trespassing or dumpster diving, burt rather a burglary into the store for fresh produce (contradicting the reporting thus far).

I don't know if anyone from this forum wrote in, but apparently lots of folks from (where ever) -did-.

The result is that the ridiculous sentence that was initially administered has been lifted.

Wouldn't you have liked to have been a fly on the wall for the last meeting on this issue that St. James had with his boss?

I guess that every now and again, writing a letter actually accomplishes something...

Never heard it described better being liberal in religious America, I get the exact same thing here and because I have fresh clothes and jewelery on. Here if you have on anything besides wranglers and cowboy boots you do drugs and are automatically a trouble maker. Also if you have friends over to your home allot you are automatically a drug dealer. They raided an ex-girlfriends house last tuesday thinking there was meth dealing going on(wasn't) and arrested her mom for a bowl of shake, two stems and some bag seeds. This is because of the conservative attitude of middle America, its basically "if your not like us, get the hell out!" type of attitude around here.
