Let me help you out with two things though... they may make your experience here on these message boards more enjoyable:
1.Edit your Posts per page option: I suggest you move it up to the max of 40 posts per page .. you'll then notice there are only 10 pages here. It really aids in viewing the site more quickly.
Click the "My IC" option near the upper left of this page. Then on the left hand side under the Settings & Options category click on "Edit Options". Now scroll down to the category titled "Thread Display Options". Now see where it says "Number of Posts to Show Per Page"? Here you can click on the drop down menu and select 40.

2. Add Me to your ignore list!:Click the "My IC" option near the upper left of this page. Then on the left hand side under the Settings & Options category click on "Edit Ignore List" option. Now type my name in there and enter. In fact, put everyones name in there that doesn't have their head shoved up you precious Gaga puppet. That way you won't need to come on here crying about people having opinions or knowledge different then yours.

And I never said there was not a formula there you go trying your fast talk on me again.there is most deffinatly a formula.your wrong about it being the reason for Gaga's outrageousness and her sales.Thats her talent. case and point her 1st video Lets Dance or something was a no budget put together, filmed in a apartment.The song went to number 1 cause of her great vocals and catchy rythems that she wrote herself.(thats the "talent" ) Then the record company jumped on board and gave her a big budget production for poker face ( also went to number 1...And now they stand behind her on everything even her outrageous freaky ness because her talent and their formula is making them both millions and millions of dollars. which in case you hav'nt noticed is what really makes the world go round. but not mine, I guess "the firm's" subliminal mind bending techniques did'nt work on me.

If you are actually sincere then at least tell me your educational background so I know just how much base knowledge we need to cover. What was your major in college? Did you go to grad school? Were you taught any of the Greek memory methods... Peg, Loci etc? Are you familiar with using iTunes University, in case I need to reference any lectures you may need to catch you up?
Since the psychology of marketing is in no direct way related to Gaga or her talking about smoking pot ... for the sake of the others that are also here I would suggest we start another thread and let this get back on track.

Hard work is true... and that I think is what people are sometimes confusing with talent in this thread. It also seems to be a common confusion in society too.

It takes hard work to learn to play the piano ... not talent.... dedication and practice = hard work. Talent can bring hard work to the next level, extraordinary. But the simple act of a learned motor skill does not mean talent.

I have not one doubt that every single person in this thread could, 100%, learn to play the piano with a good level of skill IF they decided to dedicate the time to learning the skill ....skills are learned. Playing piano, writing music and singing are just as much skills as are using a chisel, baking a cake or snowboarding.

Let me just stop you right there.

If you think "anyone in this thread" has what it takes to be as successful as Lady Gaga, then you're dumb as a pile of bricks. There's tens of thousands of mother fuckers out there who, try as they might, can't even master growing A FUCKING WEED (after 30+ years of trying in some cases) as evidenced by all the shitty bud available on the market...yet you're convinced everyone somehow has the same inborn ability to be piano virtuosos, and all it takes is a little practice to bring that out?

What about (to name one of hundreds of examples that come immediately to mind) the thousands of people who've been cut from American Idol for being anywhere from average to fucking horrible singers, even though many of them (including the worst ones) have sang all of their lives and apparently love to sing? How could this possibly be, if all it takes is practice and dedication?

I know lots of people who hack shit up with chisels, but when was the last time any of their work got displayed next to Michaelangelo's?

I know plenty of people who bake cakes, but how many of them could even win a county baking competition, let alone an INTERNATIONAL one?

Practice is important, yes, but if two people put in the same amount of practice, one talented and one NOT, then the talented person is going to go much further. A person with so-so talent is NOT going to become the next Whitney Houston, no matter how much they practice. DUH. I mean, how old are you? How has this basic fact of life escaped you in all those years of living? Are you really that clueless?

Lady Gaga has talent. This is an undeniable fact, easily provable by anyone who takes a few minutes from his life to view the countless videos posted to this thread and make an objective analysis. Yet sadly, there exist many people in the world such as yourself whom it would just plain KILL to admit that a truly talented person is talented and a successful person deserves their success. Said persons will sit back and endlessly blather on about "what it means" to have talent, or any number of other bullshit arguments that somehow justify their preconceived negative opinion about this person.

What is all boils down to, deep down inside, is jealousy. You (and others like you) are too much of a goddamn pussy to pursue your own dreams and achieve your own real accomplishments, so naturally you feel jealous of those who are strong AND TALENTED enough to do so. You feel jealous because Lady Gaga has a different style than you, and while she's making millions of bucks from her style, your broke ass is reduced to hating on ICMag and selling crap paintings on a street corner, or whatever the fuck it is you do. You attempt to make yourself feel better by cutting her down so that your precious little ego can rest easy knowing "well she might be successful, but she's not really talented...or she's a bitch...or she's got a dick...or she's trashy...or well it's just autotune..." or another number of other retarded justifications that haters' minds think up and come out with.
