Labtec's 150 watt Lab

Labtec...or anybody who scrogs!!! How far do u want the tops sticking through the screen when u switch to flower? Is there a BEST height do get or just about your preference in bud sides? Is Scroging mainly for tops? Should u cut all the bottom stuff off with a Scrog setup?
Well I guess those are some questions my high ass needs answered...WOW I Love Train Wreck!!!! Im so High.......My room turns on in 8 minutes!!!

Hey guys thanx for stopping by. Joe, Ive grown my strains before, so I had a pretty good idea how much they were going to stretch when I switched to flower. On mine i switched when they were barely touching the screen, then I trained for about 10 days. Since this is my first scrog run, I'm sure I'll have to dial it in. As for trimming the bottom stuff, yeah ive trimmed a few times already, and I'll probably trim one more time in a few days. My girls were already topped a few times before i switched also, to maximize the amount of colas.

Looks really good to me! I am also attempting my first scrog with a strain I have never grown before. Your training looks close to perfect, should be a nice even canopy.

Thanks aerohead. Yeah my scrog seems to be pretty even for my first time using scrog. Here are some pictures of my girls on day 15 into flower.

Definitely read up on it cos there are a few finer points to look out for as you've found. I'm on my 1st scrog/1st indoor flower/1st time with the strain and it's quite the fun adventure.

For indica based stuff, I went with around 3/4s of the screen filled with budsites (not just foliage) before I flipped. The stretch fills out the other 1/4 of the screen and by that time your buds should be visible and you just let em grow up. If you have the head room, I would suggest flipping a bit later and that way you'll have a bit more stretch above the screen and more framework of the buds available to fill out.

Yes, it's all about the tops! I read it's best to get rid of a lot of the underside as a scrog is already interrupting good air circulation, and it gets thick down there, and definitely trim off the little popcorn buds under the screen.

Do all that and you might end up with something as nice as labtec here (great shots man)

Hey everyone. Here are my girls on day 19 into flower. I'm going to water tonight, then flush with clearex on my next watering, followed by a light feeding.

Hey lab, great grow you have going. Not sure if you posted it, I didnt see it, but what are the dimensions of your cab? Im trying to decide if a 150w is too much for my cab or if I shoud go with a 70w

sweet setup man, killer scrog. been watching grows here for a while but never decided to post. going to be following this one since it is very similar to my grow and i can probably get a few good pointers from it.

Genetics - 1 lemon skunk, 1 autoflowering poison dwarf (just for shits n giggles until i can use the lemon skunk to start takin some cuttings) and 2 bagseeds.

I have a homebox xs (2x2x4)
150w hps (htg), but using cfls for veg
td-125 s/p mixvent
FFOF

Not doing the scrog, probably just fimming and keeping em short, and maybe a small section of clones...still have some time to make up my stoner mind hehe.

Take it easy, good growing!

Yo man, lookin' good!

How long did you veg for to fill the screen?
Also, how do you get 'em out to harvest/dry?
Ok ok, one more.. Do you notice any difference between the buds directly under the HPS as opposed to the ones directly under the CFL's?

Take it easy,
-Rek :rasta:

Thanks Jengi. You mine as well try out that poison dwarf. Sounds like it'll be fun. What kind of nutes are you going to use?
TraneRek, always nice to see you come by. I vegged under the screen for 6 days after I transplanted them into their new pots. Before that I vegged for about 3 weeks, although i didnt have the greatest ventilation and i didnt feed them much so I could control the growth. As for getting them out of the screen when they're finished, I don't know. I'll probably just cut each individual pillar of bud.hehe. I have the cfl's really close to the plants so theyre getting a good amount of light. They do look a little different, there is about the same amount of growth, it just looks a little different.

i dont think i will nute the autoflower much at all, as i am not sure how it will respond (and i dont want to stunt it because of the low veg/flower time, if i did i would end up with an 1/8th of bud hehe)

i am so tempted to do scrog, but cant get myself to since i never get how the plants fill out the screen like that (my plants look like Christmas trees, short n stubby). How would i go about this? place it above it in vegging and just feed the branches through the holes?

Also one more quick question, how does your yield compare with scrog vs regular untrained growing? let me know, and sorry for all the questions. Good day!.
