I'm not saying someone couldn't *smoke* it all... I just don't think you can accurately judge one sample until you've come down off of the stone from the previous sample.

Average 3-hour high x 20 strains = 60 hours. If you smoked from 8 AM til 10 PM every day, it would take you 4 days. And by the second half of the samples, your tolerance would be through the roof.

and average high for me is like a half hour to a hour and i smoke blunts and bongs only..its rare that i turn down a bowl.. and if i was judgeing i could stay up 24/7 smoking ... are u kidding... if that was my job.. to judge weed..
i guess my tolerance is high since both my parents smoke ..

Same here. Can't remember the last time I smoked anything that "stoned me for 4 hours to the point where I wan't looking to smoke another bowl. (Maybe 1977 when we layered that big bowl on the bong with thai stick/black hash/opium and rock cocaine? Yeah..that was probably it!) I HOPE I find something that knocks me on my ass...cus i'll for sure be searching for seed stock mere moments later...

I like the way you think 00420. the first hit will tell me if it's worthy. If it tastes, I'm in. If it tastes like shit...it's out....don't care what the high is like cus i don't gag weed down just to catch a buzz....especially not in a competition where *all* of the pieces have to fit.

The hash "slam" concerns me more than the weed. Talk about outer space! Thankfully there's no BHO allowed! cough..cough..hackk..hackkkkkk.

Hi JLP, nice to see you bro. Nice report on the LA Con. I smoked some from the DNA crew and found it very good weed. But this is the first I read you get varied plants from their seedpacks. As it stands would you call it a keeper? Thanks for the report, your welcome anytime.

Yeah,it has a pretty couchy stone.I've still got half a pack of seeds left and I'll probably grow them out eventually but I'm in no hurry.

I've got some of Sugenites Kushes coming from Gypsy so those will get grown next.

....Since all the controversey went down questioning the accurate representation of the lineage of the 'Cannalope Haze'...based upon the un-called for and juvenile responses from the DNA guys in that thread (Feeding Cannalope Haze http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?p=288601#post288601) and their attempted 'outing' of one of our senior members here for questioning them, so making a threat to that members security.....I have decided not to purchase any more of their seeds........seems like when they get mad and can't answer a question they could jeapordise someones freedom.....

.....This is a sad affair for me since I did help the DNA guys get started with clones/seeds and helped find the males for the 'Who's Your Daddy' mix (which I gave away as a 'freebie' at great expense) and was the first guy that ever bought any seeds from them........I have never financially profited from my association with them, but they have from me.......

...These guys I have known over a couple of years now and have attempted at explaining to them basic good breeding practices suggesting that at least they get hold of Rob Clarks book 'Marijuana Botany' and try to understand a little more so that when they are questioned about what they are trying to sell or do as breeders they can accurately and sensibly answer as breeders.....(here's a good link guys http://www.mellowgold.com/grow/mjbotany-removed/marijuanabotany3.html )......

....I had one of them coming into my shop and shouting agressively at me because I let the thread in question develop when he was away........When I started using basic breeding terminology in referance to what they were doing (words such as phenotype, progeny, back-cross, inbreeding F1-F2 e.t.c.)....it was obvious that they did not understand and so I attempted to teach them to no avail.....it seemed to go in one ear and straight out of the other.....

If I am going to sell seeds from a certain breeder/seedmaker then I want that breeder to accurately represent and explain the lineage on these boards and have the seeds grown out by trusted and respected growers so that we can see if they do actually grow out to description....

Then I can feel confident that my customers will be happy with their results if they buy that variety......These guys seemed adverse to us doing this here and wanted me to sell their seeds without testing and without having to answer questions about the plants that they produced........sorry no-can do....

...I am sure that they have found someone else to sell their wares that might be impressed by a cannabis cup win with some weed that there are no seeds of again...(in the seed company category and probably a clone only).....untill they make them of-course....strange it is how a seed company can win a seed company cup without having the seeds to distribute immediately after......who were the parents of this cup winning variety and if you have the weed, how come you don't have the seed?...(Martian Mean Green)......Was not the winning weed grown from the seeds that you are now going to market?...(I doubt it)....

.....so it is kinda sad when you have people that are getting into breeding that seem to feel that they are above actually learning how to do it right because they won a cup.....somehow.

I'm looking for a good medical indica strain for pain relief and thought maybe some of you could give some recommendations...I'm currently partial to sensi star, but if I could find something more potent I'd be really happy...peace.

You do the right thing not to get any new stock from the DNA . They dont know anything about breeding , hell , they dont know what plants the breed from .

We dont need that kind of seeds .

Just because you get a cup doesnt mean anything . I could easily get a very potent clone only plant , cross it to a NL male and backcross it to the very potent plant again ( bx ) and have a cannabis winner , just like what DNA did . But a true breeder is not about backcrossing clones . It is about ( at least for me ) haunting new genetics and selecting from at least hundreds of plants . At least if they sell just a bx , they should sell it kinda cheap .

Anyway , I am sure the LA Conf would smoke fine but this doesnt mean anything ... the real question is ... Where are true breeders ?

As interested as I am/was in Martian Mean Green, LA Confidential, and man that Grape Jelly looked nice.... I completely support, am and will remain loyal Gypsy on this.... Will not buy DNA products.... However, and truthfully I am hoping DNA comes around, sees this correctly and are man enough to correct past mistakes, learn from then, grow (gruesome) and make their lives better

For all the reasons stated above .... I am very happy to work with and completely support super great people.... and that is why I will only work with Seedbay and Gypsy

maybe someday there will be a legitimate school for cannabis breeding so certificates of qualification will certify the top-quality breeders in the industry....until then keep on
