Sounds pretty good. I downloaded a couple songs to try them out. Just smoked a joint. :smoker:

Kyuss didn't just form QOTSA, some members did highonfire, which is alot heavier but equally as cool if you like it.

its cool how they used to play shows in the middle of the desert, pretty much a party..

Yah, they would call them Generator parties and they used to tell MTV to fuck off when they wanted to come out and film the parties.

Kyuss singer John Garcia now in Unida. The rest are in QOTSA. Didn't know that info about High On Fire, though.

I really like Josh Homme. His vocal style, his guitar playing and his originality.

One of my favourite bands from early '90's. For a time, it seemed like they'll gonna gain some huge international succes. Not like Nirvana or Pearl Jam, but, more like Soundgarden or Alice in Chains (of course, it wasn't the same kind of music, but they were in the same league). It was the time of their 4th album. I remember "Demon Cleaner" video runnin' all the time on MTV.
Anyway, my favourite album is their 3rd one. Do you remember the video for "Green Machine"? Simple, raging and highly energetic. Btw. it was one of my two favourite songs for drivin' the car (the second was "The Hunter" from Danzigs 1st album - Ike&Tina Turner cover - strange, isn't it?). It simply pumps your blood up.

I love Kyuss. One of my alltime favorite bands.

It took me a long time to like them because I hated John Garcia's voice but the music just kicked such ass. Now, I can tolerate JG's voice and couldn't picture them with anybody else. His voice on Demon Cleaner and Size Queen was always killer though.

Nobody from Kyuss was ever in High on Fire.

Also big into... Mondo Generator (Nick from Kyuss), Brant Bjork/Che, Fu Manchu and OM.

OM is my current favorite "stoner", band. It consists of Al Cisneros and Chris Haikus from Sleep. Their album "Conference of the Birds", is like a long mantra... it gets me in quite a transcendental state. :high:
