real nice, lovin that bubblin action are those standard air stones or na
they are 8" round air stones that have a 3/8" intake. expensive as shit, 2 per bucket

how did you get that merlin so bushy? how many rounds of topping/supercropping? that shit looks perfect for mass yeild versus space it takes up...cant wait to see what that one plant yeilds
that the way it grows, bushy as hell, i did top it once in veg and took clones from all the tops a week before flowering. im thinking they will be 3+ lb's each easy.....

Are you gunna post a thread for that SOG action in the other room?
no, i think people are getting sick of my coco grows, so i will hold off for a while on those. will post some pics in this thread though.....

Yeah, I think the Keebler elves live in that thing.
its gotten bigger! (thats what she said)

ya, vegged for 21 days exactly in this system....

--- today is day 3 or 4 flowering. the growth since i put them into flowering is insane! one merlin completely took over the 27 gallon tote, roots are 4+ ft long! there starting to get into my 1"drains, had to pull 2 1/2 ft of root out of one. the whitefire and chemkush has almost caught up, they are much bigger and bushier then before.

i put bleach into my res today. what!? bleach!? yes, i have learned that 3-6 drops per gallon not only kills and prevents and root rot problems, it keeps everything very sterile.
i was getting 1 point drops in ph in under 24 hours. this indicates that i may have had a root problem. all the roots are perfectly healthy and white, but i wanted to make sure....

today my room got up to 90 degrees. and i tripping? hell no! i also turned on the middle 1000 watt light on today, all the lights are now burning. the roots get 62 degree water, there as happy as a clam, taking the heat in stride. this should cause maximum perspiring from the plants.....they drank 20 gallons in the past 3 days....im sure the room could run 100 degrees and the plants wouldn't bat an eye.....

finally i got a leaf to burn today! 3" from a 1000 is what caused it. it just weird, have no burning issues with bare bulbs 6" away from a plant.

ya, this is the bestes system i have ever worked with. the growth is un fucking believable! i am just ecstatic about mpb's! if i could set up my vert rooms with mpb buckets, i would in a heart beat.....:tiphat:

wow. sounds sick. can't wait to see some nugs form. on another note, my normal hydro spot just started carrying the H@G line. they have everything except the shooting powder. if you run that line is the shooting powder essential?

no, its not. it seems like most people dont use it and replace it with another pk booster. i use pure flowers..

i hear ya on the 90-100 degrees thing. my room gets super up there close to 100 degrees and my plants seem to love it. i run co2 at 1500 ppm though also.

i'm loving the mpb. i'm gonna have to build some soon. i'll prolly hook up my rez to a floatvalve hooked to an r.o filter. and get those nute/ph dosers for the rez. fully automated. that is the only thing that could make this better.

Looking good Krunchbubble!

Hey, you'll do much better using Multizyme, Roots Excelurator, and great white, rather than running dead res (bleach,h2o2). You will see so much more flavor. Set your chiller to 63 and you'll be money :)

Looking great, you should do well :)

P.S. You got to get the temps down to just over 80 at max. The resperation and transporation with the MPB's and light amounts to the need to run it a little cooler. Its the biggest hassle us MPBers run into. If your running CO2 your good to about 87 in my environment. After that it stresses the girls..

i realize that. im just paranoid about root rot, decided to run a week with a "dead res". will likely do it once or twice more as well, later in flowering. appreciate it....

ya, i know. i have my chiller in the bathroom , connected to this room, haven't made an exhaust yet to vent the heat the chiller creates, thats my plan for tomorrow.........will get the ambient temps around 80.....

Make sure to check those temps in the buckets lights on...The black tubs seemed to warm my water up quickly...

Put the airstones on the opposite side of the tub than the drains...The roots will grow towards the airstones instead of wanting to go towards the overflow...

mc

can also do the spray adhesive + aluminum foil / mylar trick to make the tubes and tubs absorb less of the radiant heat.

excuse my lack of familiarity with H@G, big bud, and ful power... what are you using for beneficial bacteria?

oh.... and btw.... ahhhhh maaaaaa gaaadd.... I can't wait to see how this turns out.....

well, i walked into the room yesterday and my greatest fear materialized........

one of the magic merlin's was completely limp, every single vegetative leaf was drooping...........fuck you root rot, just fuck you in the ass with a 12" diameter dildo with no lube..........

i immediately dump the system and refill it again, this time with a 6 drop per gallon bleach regimen to kill the root rot. no nutrients, just ran the bleach water for about 3 hours, till the droop on the magic merlin went away..........

i refilled the system with the nutrient regimen and the 6 drops per gallon bleach method... by the time i left, the lights were already off, so im not sure how they are doing right now.............

didnt have my camera, or i would of took pics. really bummed as i was dreading this, only 1 week into flowering and the plants may be gone. lots of time and money, not to mention this would be 3 crops failed on me in the last 5 runs, that fucking hurts big time! never had a failure before and now 3 in such a short time? live and learn, live and learn!

i know how it happened too! i left my mixing pump on in the res and the temp got up to 68 degrees, which means the water in the bcskets were closer to 72-74, the no no zone, for a few hours.....

dont even really want to go to that house now, to bummed.......

Don't get down on yourself bro. This is a very hard system to learn even for very experienced hydro growers. The collective I grow for has built a MPB system for some of their patients and they are having the hardest time getting it right. It is driving them crazy and these are very experienced guys. Just keep at it and hopefully by the time the lights are back on your MM will be looking good again. You've got the green thumb and don't you forget it. Looking forward to the pics.

Sorry to hear about the root rot man, but overall, you are doing pretty kick ass for your first run with rdwc. Really, with all the little things that can go wrong when anyone sets up a new system, I think you have it under control

Weird that root rot would happen so suddenly and at ~72F though. Older plants are generally not susceptible to the rot, and mid 70F isn't too high. Has this room had pythium problems before? Pythium results more from low O2 than from high water temp, but high water temp lowers dissolved O2 so it certainly doesn't help. But with your pumps I would have assumed that was a non-issue.
