Well a grow diary it is.

Hydro Hut Original
Light - 600w HPS in a 6" Cool Tube
Extraction fan - 265 CFM Hydrofarm ActiveAir cage fan
Soilless Medium - 75% perlite , 25% Grodan mini cubes in Passive Hydro style pots with saucers for reservoirs.
Nutrients - Organic Iguana Juice

Currently at day 28 of 12-12
I have two Seedsman Ata Tundra phenos, one Cosmic Nights, and one Seedsman Purple Bud female. These flowering plants are are from the last of the seeds I had for these strains. All of these plants are being fed nothing but Iguana Juice Bloom (new formula) at about 3.0ml per liter. That's not a very high dose but with organics you don't have to get crazy with the ppms. I don't have to adjust my PH since the Iguana Juice buffers my PH to a perfect range.

Here is the first Ata Tundra pheno, it's very large. A similar pheno from a previous grow like this was mid grade in potency and took forever to flower. So I'm skeptical about this plant even though it will produce a lot of bud. Ata Tundra is an F1 strain of Matanuska Thunderfuck x Kazakstahni.

Here is a couple of shots of the second Ata Tundra pheno. Not as big but seems a little faster in flowering. With my previous grow I'm guessing it will also be more potent than the other. Monsterous fan leaves on this one. Hopefully the buds get greasy:

Here is the Cosmic Nights female. Coming along nicely. All the phenos I've grown of this are very short, compact, bushy plants but pretty good yielders. A surprisingly stable strain from seed. Excellent qualtiy smoke too. After all it is Northern Light x Sensi Star:

And some more

And some more

And here is a couple shots of the Eva Female Seeds strain called "Monster" which is a cross of G13 and a mystery South American strain. Liking what I see so far. Again all of these are at day 28 of 12-12:

And here is a couple of shots of the Seedsman Purple Bud female. Looks like it will be a pretty nice yielder. Not a very stable strain though and a few plants were pretty low in potency. This one will probably be OK smoke judging by the crystal formation already occurring. None of the females from this strain produced purple flowers:

Here are the clones

Here are the clones

Here are my select clones. I had a bunch more I had to chuck since I had waaaay too many. So I have them down to 9. 3 cuttings from the above Cosmic Nights, 3 cuttings from the second Ata Tundra plant shown above, and 3 clones taken from the Eva Monster shown above. They have been rooted for about a week.
Same medium as the flowering plants, being fed aprox 1/3 dose of the Iguana Juice Grow for now.

Ata Tundras Day 35 of 12-12

Ata Tundras Day 35 of 12-12

OK,so here we go. Some pics of day 35. Still feeding just the Iguana Juice Bloom at about 3.2ml per liter which is in the medium range so I'm not feeding heavily. I have also given them two half doses of carbo load during flower but nothing else. Still no need for PH adjustment.

And here are the Ata Tundras:

#1, Very large plant, slower flowerer.

Plant #2 Not as big but still pretty good size, faster flowerer, and looks like it will be yummy.

Seedsman Purple Bud day 35 of 12-12

Here is the Purple Bud plant. This one is a fast flowering pheno, as you can see it's already starting to mature at day 35 of 12/12. I am surprised at the amount of resin it's packing on, and looks like a generous yielder. The branches feel fairly heavy too. With previous plants from seed the potency varied a lot from pheno to pheno. No purple females either.

Eva Monster day 35 of 12-12

Eva Monster day 35 of 12-12

Last and certainly not least is the Eva Monster. Turning out to be a bit of a monster indeed. lol Around 4 feet tall and pretty wide. Obvious sativa influence in this hybrid.
Starting to show some resin too so should finish in under 9 weeks or less. This is the first seed I have grown of this strain and I'm liking what I see.

Looking real good there Kraken  I've been thinking of givin' the Ata Tundra a go outdoors, since it's supposed to be fairly early and very resistant to colder temperatures.

I'll be following along and seeing these to the end, even tho it's indoors

Hi Slyngel thanks for stopping in.
Just be aware that there was a mistake made on Seedsman's part. The seed package says 8 weeks, not 6. If you order the seeds you'll see it on the package.
Some of the phenos are slower to flower (10 weeks indoors). I'd expect some to finish at end of september and the other half to finish in mid october outdoors. The faster flowering phenos tend to be more potent. It's a tall strain too with F1 vigor. The strain also has a leaf curling trait as well that seems to come out during flower. For cloning, look for the pheno with the very large shiney, greasy looking fan leaves that shows sex fairly quickly. That's the one you want to clone.

Day 42 of 12-12

Day 42 of 12-12

Here are some more shots from day 42 of 12-12

This is the Ata Tundra plants, plant 1 to the left, and the faster more potent pheno #2 to the right -

Here's a group shot from plant level. The Cosmic Nights is the short plant in the center, Purple Bud plant to the right front, Eva Monster to the right back, and the beastie Ata Tundra pheno 1 towering on the left -

Here is the fast Purple Bud plant (skunk pheno). Very fast flower, almost done in less that 7 weeks of 12-12! -

That's all the pics for now. There are a few more pics in the gallery if you want to see more.

With the exception the Purple Bud plant, they are all being fed 3.0ml per liter of Iguana Juice Bloom at this point since I'm starting to wind down nutrient strength for the maturing stage. The Purple Bud plant is getting only 2ml / liter because it is finishing much faster.

Thanks for stopping in.

any close up bud shots of the ata tundras? how are they going? I noticed they are 8-9 week flowerers not 6 weeks as advertised.

Sorry it's been a while since I visited IC.
I had a bunch of nice pics on HG of these strains, but the site seems to be having major issues at this point. Good bye pictures? I fuggin hope not. I don't keep my pics locally for security reasons. And unfortunately I neglected this grow diary.
I do NOT recommend the Ata Tundra strain at all!!!
Out of 4 females I grew of this strain in two seperate grows, 3 of them hermied! No shit! And those three plants were shwag at best. Big yielders, but what's the point if it's shwaggy nasty mold prone crap?!? The one plant that didn't hermie and produced good bud, was such a low yielder that it wasn't worth jack anyway. BTW, no stresses occured. Temps were excellent, and no other stresses in both grows, and the other strains grown in those grows did NOT hermie so... yeah... Pretty sure they took an alaskan thunderfuck and pollinated it with a crappy land race strain. NOT COOL! Crappy germ rates too. But I heard Alaskan Thunderfuck females produce unstable seeds so that could be part of it. Not a strain worth purchasing in my opinion. Sorry

The Purple Bud strain is a mixed bag. There is definitely a couple of phenos from this strain that are pretty good. Not super potent but somewhere in the 16%-18% range in THC and a little bit of cbn/cbd. Very fast flowerer too, as in 6-7 weeks of 12/12. That's right, only about 5-6 weeks from the show of sex! These phenos are of commercial interest to say the least. No purple but indoors purple is a rarity. A couple of the plants turned out to very be low in potency though, so be aware of that if you grow out a pack or two of the Seedsman Purple Bud. But all in all, the good phenos made this strain worth buying. Good germ rates too.

The Cosmic Nights is an excellent strain. I wish I could buy more seeds. Pretty stable, good producing, and every female produced quality nuggets. Thanks Shiva Twista

The Eva Monster... wow. I love this strain already and I've only grown from one seed!!
The pheno I got had great potency (20%+ range), good yield (few ounces) for having a lot of sativa influence, stanky scent that cured to a melony scent and flavor, nice looking nugs, and a good flower time (around 8 weeks). Spain is bringing it for sure. Eva has some other strains I will have to try as well.
