Nice to see they received a proper flush!
Funny story.... about 3 years ago now I started have chronic colds and nose congestion, they would go away for a weeks or months at a time, but always come back and sometimes last for months... about a year ago I assumed it was because we were not flushing our plants enough before chop, the fan leafs would yellow, but if you looked at the buds near the stem, they would still be overly green, neonish almost..
One day about 6 months I decided to check runoff ppm before chop, we run Earth juice for our main Bloom nutes, and no real food in our soil, so I didnt think tehre would be much in there. It was at 1100ppm runoff and the plants looked 'flushed', was planing on chopping that day~!
Anyway so now this round Ive got down to 250-400ppm runoff, depending on the plant. Ended up getting health insurance recently and got a doctors appointment to talk to them about this problem, as I have barely been puffing at all the last few months, its not enjoyable to me, dabs are okay but I really enjoy or used to enjoy smoking flowers.
Doctor ask if I have Asthma, I had very minor asthma as a kid, it only really bothered me as a kid or an adult when I got a bad cold. However this damn house we have been at the past few years is constantly very humid, gets mold on the window sills and we have 2 pets that shed...
I took a peak flow test at the doctors office, scored about 400 and for my age it shoulda been 650ish.
So as a side effect of me having uncontrolled Asthma for the last few years, we now have realllly clean smoking flowers and that turns into less waxes in our oils as well. Ordered a nice Honeywell HEPA Filter that will be here soon, and the doctor got me on flovent(sp) for the next few weeks to see if it improves my symptoms.
I look forward to enjoying flowers again.
Good to see you've found something that works for you!
I find that these well flushed and yellow appearing flowers taste much better and even have a better/stronger high to them, would you agree?
The biggest benefit with me, is they do not need to be cured in order to be smoked and enjoyed... If they are flushed properly, you can smoke it the day its dry and it wont be abnormally harsh.... however if your weed is not flushed well, or overfed in general, its harsh as fuck when its just dry and needs few weeks to be smokable.
Although this is also strain dependent too, or rather some strains it makes a huge difference on, and other ones not as much....
I think the lighter feeders probably makes more of difference.
edit: I dont think it effects potency at all
i think the kc33 was a Brazillizn sativa cross
