killer mallawi mum

Mr Weedy

hey ace guys just wondering with the success of golden tiger and im sure the Malawi once enough of us have it i was wondering if it wasnt to much to ask you we possibly have some pics of the killer mallawi clone thats used to make those lines?

ive been thinking about someones pics of the some malawi seedlings and they were all quite a bit more indica looking than my golden tigers so im just wondering what the mum looks like in terms of structure and wondering about what would be possible in any home made GT f2's ie fat leaves from skinny leaved parents etc.

also were the other malawi males used already related to the killer malawi mum? i realise the malawi line is a bx to the killer malawi clone so i not asking about the dad more the granddad.

thanks

Hello Mr Weedy,

Yes, the malawi males from seed selected to pollinate the killer malawi elite clone came from the same malawi seedline, the average females from this batch were not so strong like the killer malawi mum but we found other interesting parental plants, one female tastier, other purple and early flowering, etc .... anyway the goal was to produce a seedline as close as possible to the killer malawi so the seed production has been focused towards killer malawi backcrosses.

Here are a few old killer malawi pics. First one is the mum over 20 days into flowering indoors. Second and third one are the resin details of matured flowers, this is the kind of resin production you should look for, and the last 2 (sorry for the quality) are a good example of how the colas explode when a good malawi is correctly grown.

dubi, in early veg stage of pure malawi stock do you look for the wider leaves for the "killer mum" pheno?

also, i've got one pure malawi ( looks to be a male, but not certain yet) that has gorgeous purple stem and branches. it is also shorter in the inter-nodal length and the branches go straight up at first as opposed to branchy at the onset. is this indicative of the purple malawi phenotype? i imagine if it is then the pollen sacs will show purple as well. true?

Hello idiit,

I wouldnt select for the look of the seedlings and wait how the females show themselves in flowering.

Sounds like you found a purple malawi male ;) That's very interesting to find! Good luck!
