I took my own advice and pulled a small lower bud. I see a few amber trichs. I can’t really tell the dif between cloudy and clear trichs. Looks the same to my eyes. They cloudy or clear to others? Weather is turning and I have about 5 days of reasonable weather left at most.

@blondie

I have a good hack. If your eyesight is good you won't need magnification.

Just shine a torch on the buds from a couple of inches away. If the trichs shine and sparkle like really bright stars or like diamonds the trichs are still clear. When the reflection is muted and the trichs don"t sparkle the trichs are cloudy and ready to take.

The appearance of an increasing number of amber trichs (not the result of a grower mistake) is another tell-tale sign she is done.

Peace

Hey folks
I too am looking at hard freeze in a couple of days so I cut earlier today it’s mostly cloudy on the top with some clear and some tan it’s at 74 days flowering that’s from seeing a flower. She’s hanging in the dark and I hope the cold weather helps dry slowly. It’s so dry here my last chop went in the jar after 6 days. Not bad taste but not what I prefer.

Looks like a mix of cloudy and clear on the buds and a bit of amber on some leaves. If the weather was forecasted to stay good I wouldn't chop but as it's turning then you probably should. Some people might prefer it like this, more active high.

Last night was freezing or nearly so. Forecast is rain and cold weather coming so I pulled the ka5h last night. The end of the season for me. Total flower time is less than 9 weeks so seems this is not fully mature.

Lessons learned at about 40 degrees not the best for outdoor due to late flowering. Inside flower early as stretch is impressive. My yield is going to be smaller I’m guessing in part due to long veg and root bound. Looking forward to trying her soon.

I have read about people spraying boron to induce flowering early in tomatoes anyone have an opinion on doing it to sativa?

Hey folks
My little girl started the end of June gave 3 1/2 oz of dry bud I open the little jar for a peek and she smells pretty rotten. I rolled a small joint and shared with 3 pro level geezer smokers. Taste is not remarkable but 10 minutes later all our Tickle Boxes turned over and we giggled for about an hour over nonsense. Old hillbillies slapping our knees hooting and hollering.
We plan to keep the rest of the jars sealed till next year. It’s pretty racy just the thing to keep my tired ass moving around these cold hills.
Thanks Ace for making this fine strain.

Yeah RottyI expect it will improve. I grew Bangi and it was way better after a month or two in the jar even seemed stronger not just sweeter.
I’m at 38 degrees and this fall was an oddity of dry and warm days and she almost finished completely. I’ve heard tell that the Panama Haze flowers faster. Maybe that’s the haze strain for my next outdoor attempt. I do like the way KA5H grows and she had no bug or mushroom issues but August 26 is a little too late to start
for my zone outdoor. I’ll be running her inside soon as the hard cold is past. This is the first year I’m not fighting cold and hauling propane to my barn for winter cropping.
Be more piping by the fire.

Mine is tasting ok, but not very strong. Likely due to little sun and not enough flower time. The smell from the jar is difficult to describe but citrusy mild floral is somewhat close. No hint of skunk or anything foul. I ended up with three quart mason jars 3/4 full. I’ll run this indoors maybe spring and see how it goes. I still need to dissect the root ball and will post once I get to that.

Rode hazard you may think about some green mountain genetics. Early finishers supposedly.

How long has it been curing?
We noticed it gets better after at least a couple of months in the jar. Although strength gets better after a month or two it keeps rising for a while and longevity of stone seems to improve after much longer. Our indicas on the other hand seem to peak around 2 to 3 months and lose terps after too long. We also found storing in plastic bags in a sealed bucket was better for aging than jars but that might be due to the air gap. I think it might improve the longer you leave it :)

Mine hasn't been curing very long but we tried some last night and found it still a little harsh but it is very strong in effects and they last a long time. Hopefully, the taste and harshness will continue to improve. Im using Grove bags this time. Ive heard a lot of good recommendations for them and wanted to give them a go.

Thank you so much for the outstanding smoke report on your Killer A5 Hazes :thank you: I read it with lots of joy! :)

Really happy the strain is producing such an impact on you and that you rate her so highly on its own league, bringing you to new places rarely experienced before with cannabis flowers.
It means a lot, especially knowing you are such experienced grower and smoker with very high tolerance.

I would never write such a description of Killer A5 Haze without feeling it in that way.... A5 Haze and Killer Malawis consistently produce the most powerful, longer lasting, trippy, scary and profound effects i ever experienced with cannabis, and so is Killer A5 Haze, very few strains and smokes can hit in such and strong scary way (i can count them with one hand and i also have smoked a lot in this life). Definitely it's not a strain to smoke every day and even the hardest smokers must make sure to be psychologically and physically ready for the trip, otherise the experience could be close to a bad LSD trip.

But Killer A5 Haze (and A5 Haze and Killer Malawis) must be grown up to their best potential to deliver such intense effects and you certainly did it ;)
I have a question that would be a bit different than most, which EU countries are restricted for Ace? And what are the alternatives?

I want to try a strain with African genetics. I'm considering this strain (Killer A5 Haze) and also Super Malawi Haze. I'm hoping to find a fairly low-odor plant that is definitely not a 'stinker.' Between the two strains, does either stand out as being a better prospect for a low-odor plant? Thanks for any advice.
