Alladin Skunk
Day 21 of flower

First things first, today my Aladdin Skunk is 21 days in flower; she is grown up now and turned into a beautiful plant among some other strains.

They are ready for a defoliation, definitely.

20250225_080647.jpg

After lollipopping and defoliation, she looks like this; you can see I had to train her a lot because she has had a dominant main stem.

20250225_082547.jpg

The buds are really nice and cone-shaped.

20250225_080248.jpg

The buds are very nice and have a lot of trichomes already for a strain at day 21 of flower.

Thanks for reading, and my update of the Afghan Lemon follows soon !

Double Piece!

Whats up Khalifans

I had a great time growing the Limon Blanco V3, literaly 0 problems in the process.
The bouquet is so nice, different layers of bitter, pungent and fruity lemons with some hashish base notes.
She‘s day 62f and will get another week or so.

The Afgan Lemon

Grow and Smoke report

Grow

Here is my report over the Afgan Lemon by Khaliffa genetics. I did only germinated one seed only. So I talk about only the one pheno i did last fall. Growing the Afghan Lemon was a special experience for me. What I mean by that is that from the moment I had it in bloom, I immediately saw huge differences from my other modern hybrid plants. At some point after week 3, there were so few pistils and the flowers so different that I started to doubt whether I was dealing with a hermaphrodite, or whether there might already be male flowers in my plant. I then made a post about it on the forum, and was quickly reassured that it was a lady. You can read this post here: Thread 'Male or female' https://www.icmag.com/threads/male-or-female.18132949/

Flowering

After I was reassured, I allowed the plant to continue flowering. While defoliating and lollipoping I decided to leave as much of all the side branches as possible because there were many small flowers and the plant was not that big. Slowly time passed and after a few weeks more bunches of calyx were formed that were full of trichomes. The smell of the plant was now fantastic. It most resembles a kind of Lemon cleaner. I finally kept an eye on the trichomes and ended up with about almost harvest the same time as advertised in 70 days. 25 september till 3 december wich was 66 days of flower.

Harvest

Cutting the tops initially seemed like it would be a lot of work, but it was actually not too bad. Over time they had become branches full of clusters of large calix. These buds smelled amazing and really put a smile on my face as strong as they smelled when i'm handeling them. After this I hung them upside down and let them dry in the dark. After about 10 days it was dry enough to put it in the jar and I further cured the weed there. Now I have kept this for almost 3 months from December 3rd. When you open a jar of these weed the smell is amazing.

Preparation

After 3 months of curing the smell is amazing, stronger then most. I load up a tray with some of this green gold and it looks totally different. I take out a few pieces to roll up a doobie, those calyx are big and when i grind it up the smell get even bigger. When I close my eyes I see yellow paint, yellow paint that smells like lemon. For me it is really one of the strongest lemon varieties I have ever come across. I haven't smoked anything yet this day and the plan is to take another nice walk in the woods and then smoke and test this beautiful weed somewhere. I usually take Sativa related material with me on my walks, so it is a bit exciting to smoke a 100% indica. I hope it doesn't make me weak in my legs or make me unable to move at all hahaha. It'll be fine tho.

The walk

The weather is good and there is a little bit sunshine out there. I leisurely walk through the beautiful surroundings with my small dog. It is a little bit hilly and we go a bit up and down through the landscape. Finally, after a short walk of 45 minutes, we arrive at one of my favorite spots. I stop here, give the dog a drink and pull out my joint. I light it up, and after some coughing because my lungs are open from walking, I draw the first puffs deeply.

The joint

The taste is amazing, exactly as what i smell, only difference is it has on the outblow some gass. It goes along with the initial tatse of fresh lemon paint. I see the yellow can in my imagination and it makes the suggestion of fresh Lemon paint even more. It's very tasty, so I eagerly take a few more puffs. Despite the slightly lower THC percentage, I immediately feel this weed, both physically and mentally. The mental aspect is quite good and thinking patterns change noticeably. I actually hope almost immediately that no one comes by anymore...

Thoughts and tension

Small worries about anything and everything arise in my head and it gives me a slight tension. It is a phenomenon that I often experience with some types of weed, and I often find it most of the time pleasant. It gives me a kind of deeper reflection than I normally have. And looking at certain things from a different perspective can sometimes be very useful. However, I often worry about the illegal aspect of growing medicinal cannabis in my country. All acces to any plants should be a universal right for everyone. I may be able to talk about where the medicinal aspect of cannabis comes in handy for me later. For now it's good to talk about how it works for now at this moment. It makes me very introspective about myself and my life, almost a bit paranoia, but because it is not very overwhelming I can look at it as a kind of third person and actually laugh about it.

More thoughts

I have now continued walking. The slight restlessness of my thoughts has led me to this and it is nice to be back on track. At first it feels a bit heavy to walk, but soon I'll be fine. Despite the THC percentage, which is not too high, this weed is clearly noticeable, but it is also not so strong that it is much too intense. Some of the strain parralize you, or you get so much paranoia you want to hide under a blanket only. Sometimes i like that as well hahaha but this is pretty strong but not to much. I slowly walk on and countless thoughts flow by. It is a bit different then my normal walks but i like it anyway.

The meeting

I continue through the beautiful forest, pass some streams and here and there is a small lake. Even though it is still February and winter, it is already very beautiful in the forest. Time flies by and I keep thinking about everything about my life and then suddenly I meet someone. Furthermore, the walk was quite lonely and now there is a man in front of me dressed in mostly white and holding a bicycle, which is remarkable in itself because we are in the middle of the forest and it is not a mountain bike.

Looking into the Future

He has a big head of hair and somehow this reminds me of myself because I am also blessed with still good hair at my age. At that moment I think, damn! That man looks like me! And the bizarre thought occurs to me that that was me, but in the future, an older version of myself, completely gray, wavy medium-length hair and radiant with health. I want to look him in the face but he turns his face away. Too bad I can't look him in the face. My dog pulls on the leash, he is not allowed to run loose on this part of the walk and we continue. When I get to be that old, I hope my hair will turn as beautifully gray as his I think as we continue walking.

Crossroads part 1

I slowly walk on, the weather is quite good, I look back one more time and no longer see the man standing there. While walking I think about how I experience the Afgan Lemon strain and how I am going to write this story. I walk for about 20 minutes and then I come to a part where I cross a road and on the other side of the road another forest begins, here there are mainly pine trees where there is a earlier greater diversity of trees. I arrive at another small valley with a small lake below. I'm standing at the top of the edge and I look down, there are a few ducks and other water birds swimming. On the other side I can see a long staircase that takes you back out off the valley on the other side. Visually, the stairs run from top left to bottom right, and I am, as it were, looking at the side of the stairs.

Dark cloaked figure

I walk down into the valley on my side and straight ahead is a small bridge that crosses a stream. The stream flows into the lake and I can easily get to the other side where I continue walking along the lake. When I look again at the stairs in front of me I see a dark cloaked figure with a black cape and a large bag on his back. He slowly descends the stairs where I now have a perfect view. It seems like he has a huge burden on his back. With his big boots he takes the steps one by one. I get a bit of a strange feeling and I call the dog to me, Pammy, that's my little dog's name, Pammy, come here, and I put her back on the leash. When I look up again, the man is almost downstairs. He slowly walks towards me and until the last moment his face remains hidden in the large hoody he is wearing. When he is almost to me I can catch a glimpse of his face. I see a big beard, a weathered face and a pair of deep-set eyes in a lived-in face. A shiver runs through me as I walk past him. I think, shocked, this could easily be me, only now I see myself in a completely different future. This dark figure was tired, carrying a great burden on his back, weighed down by life. He preferred to hide his weathered face. I start walking up the stairs and when I'm almost upstairs I look back but I don't see the man anymore. I pause for a moment and think about what just happened to me...

Crossroads part 2

After this special experience I wondered what this meant. It seemed that I had ended up at a crossroad and I had just perceived two versions of myself in the future. Or at least that was the illusion I had, whether it was true or not. The symbolism of the whole thing is superb anyway. So even though I might imagine some things it is worth the experience. It tells me to watch carefully when i'm finding myself on a crossroad, however I just don't have no idea what or which crossroad it is that I am standing in front of. Maybe this will become clear to me later. For now i decide to park the whole idea and walk home. When we reach the top of the stairs I take the the dog of the leash again and I walk home while the dog is frolicking in front of me.

Conclusion:

Growing

Altough i was a little bit worried at start of flower if it was a Hermaphrodite or if it was a female? She was easy to grow. I did let her go, and didn't do a lot of training or defoliation. There where lot of stalks and they all turned up with crazy amounts of calyx. In the second part of flowering this plant smelled amazing. After 66 days i did harvest a lot of strong smelling cannabis.

Smoking

You can feel this weed immediately when you smoke it or take a vape. The taste is fantastic and exactly what you smell too. It smells like fresh lemon paint. This weed is self-reflective and you start to think seriously about your life and yourself as a person. Maybe if you are a bit nervous or you are already worried a lot, you should take something else I think. If you want to think about life and how you are doing, this is great stuff. It is a weed that you definitely feel but not overwhelmingly intense. Just like in my story, it puts things into focus about the choices you make and which step you take from there. I found it a very extraordinary experience to test this strain and I hope you find it useful or enjoyed reading it.

Greetings Stoney

Wow thanks for the super in-depth and comprehensive smoke test. It seems like it’s always more valuable to test a strain in real life activity and you nailed it perfectly. Great writing skills also.

I wouldn’t have thought that this strain would be that much on the introspective side of things. As you seem to explain, introspection often comes with paranoia for some people (including myself), at least on bad days and if smoking alone. Now, the effects might be slightly different with other phenotypes so I’ll take that with a grain of salt.

I will eventually pop a few seeds of this strain and hopefully find a nice keeper. The lemon smell / taste sounds really appealing. Usually in my experience it comes with lots of terpinolene in strains such as Haze or Jack crosses, and sometimes it comes with gas in other strains but I’ve never had a chance to experience « pure » lemon terps that actually taste like lemon.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to write this report. I’m sure it will be appreciated by most.

Take care !

Hey Le Big Mac,

Thanks for your kind message. First i really like your Nickname, one of the most epic cult movie ever. I have a T-shirt myself of that great movie cover picture with Uma Thurman, gun and holding sigaret. There are so much epic scenes in this movie. There where the mistake was made with the cocain and she has a o.d. and Vince had to call his dealer to give her the antidote with the big syringe in front of the house and also the scene where the 2 gangsters have to call the 'The cleaner' to name a few.. About the afgan Lemon, It was definitely introspective, but what i said earlier also because it is not too powerfull it is good to handle, specially if you're a seasoned smoker. Also have to keep in mind that I smoke more than a gram in pure joint. If you smoke less, the effects are of course also less. For me this is really a weed for the evening, nice when I've done everything smoking that wonderfully tasting herb and then nice relaxation. In my tests I always try a good amount where I can definitely notice the effects. I can certainly recommend you to do this strain, just for the wonderful terpenes of this strain. It is really something different from all the modern hybrids and that is what I appreciate very much with Khalifa Genetics. The alladin skunk I'm doing at the moment looks very promising. Good luck if you start a Lemon Afgan seed and let us know if you can. I'm looking forward to see another example of this special strain ! Piece !

Classic movie indeed ! I had a teacher in high school who I didn’t particularly like, but one time, at the end of the year or something, she made us watch Pulp Fiction and not only did I truly understand how badass she actually was, but it also happened to become one of my favourite movies. I believe I was high too. The « Big Mac » moment is particularly funny as a french.

Back to the Afghan Lemon, thanks for making things a bit clearer. More than a gram in a joint is not for the lightweight but I also like moderately strong weed for that reason : being able to enjoy a big fatty without being totally spaced out halfway through.

This one along with other strains from Khalifa are definitely first on my list for when I’ll be able to grow again 👍

Thanks again for sharing !

Day 35 of flowering Aladin Skunk

1000017690.jpg

She looks allready matured, I was wondering myself or this needs to have still 4 weeks left as the advertised 9 weeks. . Maybe someone can say something about this? What do you think?

1000017691.jpg

Smelling her gave me a flashback, I remembered somehow how my weed was smelling in the 80's back then. Almost like a deja vu. It gave me the shivers and this is very genuine i think.

1000017688.jpg

She is one of 6 strains and she is in the left front. I didn't pull her out of the others for my pictures, rather let it go without the risk of collapsing heavy buds.

Looks like an 8 week plant, maybe 9. You're only halfway there or almost halfway.

Gonna see if my Aladin Skunk will pop, I'm interested in this one.

frosties purple freak,
I got 4 seeds and 3 popped, one survived nice the second had some issues but is still goin, and one is idk, too mutated I guess
While popping them I did h202 solution, and withing 24 hrs 2 of the 3 seeds had literally jumped out of their seeds, I've never had that... but the two that jumped out have survived, the other thing looks like a tuber or something 🤣 🤣 but it's still alive. I popped them when they showed up right after the last sale. I gotta look at my phone for the date, but they new.
