We have both the kurig and nescafe models..

Nescafe module sucked...had to guess how much water went through the K-cup...No re-fillable insert available to att the time

I prefer the Kurig.....

Now here is the crappy part.....I can't use either right now as COFFEE has been taken off my diet by my DR...... :(

The first week sucked, but now I don't really miss it.... I will cheat once a week....but no more 3-5 cups a day for me :~(

up until I bought the Dolce-Gusto machine this is what I used, this particular make is a Morenito and was used by my family since the 60's, mom was kind enough to put it in a care package to me in MN a long time ago. it just got to much to grind, brew & clean for every cup. I was ready to trade some quality for a measure of ease.

The Caffe Lungo capsules make a great tasting espresso, toss in a shot of Sambuca and I'm a happy guy w/o clean up issues.

I drove a shitload of freight around the east coast, ran taxi like a madman too, damn near all of it fueled by coffee, I grew to resent the snot outta 'to go' cups having to drink the stuff through a hole or slot in the plastic lid.

that's it, my coffee rant.......

i got you on the ease of the new machine SL

Still, I just love the way these old style espresso makers do it.
Multiple cups is an issue, so one of my early routines is to full these suckers up first thing in the morn

...god i just love this shit

redneck coffee rules , chew a few whole beans and chase with your beverage of choice,,,, Sambuca or whiskey works fine

Indeed, fuck Starbucks.. Operating in the UK for 14 years, 800 outlets and they "Haven't made any profit", in all that time thanks to accounting trickery (Transfer pricing, that wheeze where the UK arm pays the US arm for using the brand, the price of which is always conveniently just enough to wipe out any profit).

I'm still loving the convenience of the dolce gusto, but every once in awhile I break out my stove top espresso maker for the most authentic brew.

yeehaw!!! (thnx trout)

48 capsules of Latte Macchiato usually costs $24-27 dollars, that makes 24 cups of joe as it's a dual process; 1 cap being the coffee, and the other cap is the creamy foam, I'm used to free shipping on these for being a Prime member.

I was looking through Amazon for the Dolce Gusto caps the other day & spotted a 3-pack (that's the 48 capsules I usually buy) for only $11.26! DAMN!!! there was only one available so I bought it immediately. it wasn't included in Amazons Prime free shipping program, but the company (Premium-Brands-4-Less) offered it with free shipping anyway.

Premium-Brands-4-Less is a UK company, my order was shipped and my card was charged the $11.26 only, yup it's gonna take a couple of weeks or so but I saved a bundle on this buy. btw, I've bought other coffee capsules from PB4L (one of the many Amazon partners) before & they were also shipped free from the UK, go figure.
