don't recall any single-stem plants, if that's what you mean

only ever saw Christmas-tree shaped plants in the fields in Manipur

Here's one of my manipuri flowers from a few years back:

Just to clarify, both kerala and manipuri were vegged for about 2 weeks and then put into flowering mode. I don't give the plants space, they're all crowded together, which discourages branching and encourages longer, stick like growth. Despite the crowding, Kerala still branched like crazy!

You're absolutely right though, if you veg out manipuri, give them the space they need, and veg. them properly before flowering, they'll produce lots of side branches.

hi, re. vegging:

longest day of the year in Manipur is 13 hours 40 mins

longest day in Idukki (Kerala) is 12 hrs 40 mins

so neither should need to be vegged much if at all, I reckon

like you say, that growth to a single stem will have been due to lack of space

This is the most resinous with best smell. A little less since the hps is on but temps are higher. Floral jasmin herbal musky

Pretty impressive short and bushy due to your technique, chilliwilli, love it!

Yasmin smell sounds pretty good, eventhough I hoped to read what kind of hazyness in terms of terps lies in this strain!

What's your approach to maintain nutrients in your soil for so long?

Was thinking alot of the smell of the most resinouse one. I think musky is not the right term, its a more organic woody smell like the smell i got from super malawi haze and killerA5 haze "haze pheno". So dev. in the haze range with this one.

Your soil mixtures seems to be a solid longterm mix.

I pretty surely overwatered back then quite a bit, but I repot every two month with florganics to maintain them vigorous. Could turn Kerala into monsters trying that though :D

Organic woody sounds awesome. I like those natural wild and out of the wood smells, it's like taking a deep breath in the forest!

2,5 plants already got harvested because the others overgrow them.

Took 3 sampels today. One plant is still stetching a little and 3 look promising but still some foxtailing with them.

great updates chilliwilli! Interesting how the leaves look like they're senescing before the tips of the buds are fully mature.

This is quasi on topic: Parvati x early Kerala, both RSC lines. This hybrid finished outdoors November 11th, it was definitely not forever flowering! Rosin tasted okay, but buds were very flavorful, probably because there was strong selective pressure on the parvati side. will probably do a write up on this cross in the near future: without a doubt, it was worth growing!

some updated pics of the early Kerala variant. some smell extremely spicy and almost not good (hard to describe), while another smells spicy sweet! These are probably a week away from being finished, and it's early November. A few already had little spots of botrytis on older bracts, but it has been cold and rainy the whole time, so it's not unexpected.

There are some great looking plants in here! Love the look of the Kerala plants: Xmas tree shapes, big bracts, very haze like. I've grown Indian Skunk from Seedsman back in early 00's, and one specific plant I remember, leggy, spindly, spear tip shaped buds with big spear tip shaped bracts, spicy aroma.. it was the plant that got me to move towards more NLD type, less BLD.

Anyways, I have a ? for the ppl that have grown the TRSC Kerala before.. anyone experience any mutations, varigation, crinkle leaves? I have a young, unsexed Kerala that has been the most interesting plant since sprouting.. GREAT aroma on steb rub, tangy, woody. In a bit, I'm going to post a pic or two... she's displaying some type of mutated growth I would expect on Blue lines or certain Chem lines.. otherwise very healthy and like I said, great aroma!
