KC-Brains - Sweet Dreams

I have never seen many people growing this strain; infact ive probably only seen two since its release. But anyways, this strain is pretty decent. has very nice odour , but not too strong so it was perfect for an indoor grow situation. This plant was the best one out of three. I had the seeds for about 3 years and they were not properly stored, which cause only four seeds to germinate; luckly i came out on top with 3 females. :) )

It was grown in a 5 gal bucket with a peat and perlite mix using Fox Farm fertilizers and Liquid Karma.

This was the top cola, wet it amounted to just under 6 oz.. which is pretty good if you ask me :D

View of the entire plant. It was more sativa dominate than i would have liked, it wasnt topped or pruned at all... this was so i could see the natural growth habit under a 400 watt system. Flower time was 63 days before cut, but i felt it could of had a few more days; there was a one week flush before the plant was cut.

the smoke was very nice, one small popper from a bong and i was nicely stoned. The high was a couchlock for sure, i couldnt move after smoking a joint...haha tasted like a mix of grape and citrus, was a nice smelling specimen as well. The smell when it was dried was some what citrus with hint of skunk...

i would recommend this plant for beginners for sure.. its very easy to grow and tolerable to what ever you do to it... but its time to move on... maybe some DJ shorts? who knows ;)

I too unfortunatly have heard negative reports on KC Brains. Which really bummed me out cuz KC Brains strains are available to me for a good price, and I was really interested in the KC-36 strain.

Great Job with the sweet dreams. Sounds like a delicious strain. Nice yield too.

Thanks for the positive report on the KC Brains strain, it really opens up my options.

Description:
Sweet Dreams is a KC606 cross with California Skunk

Not sure what the KC606 is..but the California Skunk sounds like a winner!

thanks for the comments, appreciate them :) .... i agree that there have been many negative reports, which is kinda a bummer after seeing what their genetics can put out. i tried looking into what the kc606 was but was unable to find any information about it... but if anyone reading this out there knows, please let me know :D

Sounds like quite the skunky plant then, it's amazing they weren't more powerful odour wise.

Great Grow Strike99

My KC eXPERIENCE...

My KC eXPERIENCE...

Last season I grew out some KC bRAINS Mango..I was sold by the descrition in the GCSC catalog. Huge yeilds, early harvest, ect, ect. So I grew and sexed indoors. These plants are massive growers by the way...In late May, I hardened off the best specimen and transplanted into a 15gal.container outside. This plant grew like wild-fire...by late July it was over 8ft.tall with no end in sight. Now heres the problem..all my other plants were going into full bloom by then, many bud-sites,ect.And the monster Mango didn'nt have a single formation anywhere...just tons of massive fanleaves and a shitload of branches. The plant also was a nute and water hog..it required nearly double of everything.I held out until mid-Aug, and still nothing. If it was'nt for the odor,I'd think I was dealing with feral hemp. Finally I took some photos of the beast, and chopped her down.I think experiences similar to mine, give KC the bad rep..This plant could probably be a monster producer in the southern states,or indoors, given the space.

i was very surprised that there wasnt much smell, altho i did have an ionizer that was able to clean 5000 cubic feet per minute.

I agree that some of KC's genetics are not that great, my self growing mango as well... and not enjoying its growth habit...i guess you just get lucky with choosing his strains...lol...

thanks for the comments...greatly appreciated... got some stinky afghani growing right now... 3 weeks into veg, so we shall see how they turn out ;)

Hey there... nice grow & shots.. thanks for sharing!
I'm curious... you said it was more sat dominant than you has wished for,
yet the high was couch. Are you referring to disappointment in it's growing
stature and not the high? Because sat dom high wouldn't be couch at all.

yes, i was refering to the growing habit of the plant...the natural growth of the plant is some what lanky, with not much strength to the top cola( had to tie it up) i kept the light no more than a foot away at all times...so there shouldnt of been much stretching occuring... im sure if the plant was FIMed it would have been much stronger...the high was definately more indica than sativa...which, personally i found to be a great attribute to this strain.

to the others thanks for your comments, greatly appreciated... :joint:
